W2 Tool Steel 2" Rd

Good luck on that dakota. You will not be sorry about the W2. just keep on it and the Hamons will come. When i first moved up here my mail lady was 8 months pregnant. She had to have a substitute come out just for my packages. Now i have a male mail carrier, even he laughs :mad:about the weight.

Folks, 5 boxes out today and one going tomorrow, then I'm caught up on shipping paid orders.

As we get closer to the Blade show, I may have to take a break from shipping W2, but that's a little ways off. I still have a pretty good bit, so just let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Darren,

I'm sorry to say, I will not make it to Batson's this year. I know, it's going to be a great hammer-in, but I just have too much going on this spring.

I would be more than glad to ship you some W2 though :)

I will be at the BAM conference the first of May, demonstrating with Little Giant hammers and plan to bring W2 for those who will be there. This will be a large gathering, taking up the slack for the canceled ABANA conference.

Thanks,

That's cool, Doug. I told ya, if you get that stuff out there, folks would buy it :)

Great to see ya on Blade Forums, check out Shop talk and the Custom forum.

Don

Man I hope you are making good money on this W-2. I have a new appreciation for the time and PITA it is to wrap this stuff up. Not to mention cutting it into 11" lengths to save us money. I have only gotten 3 box's ready and don't want to do any more...... I will be ordering 2 more box's from you right away to replace 2 of the ones I sent out. Then will be wanting 2 more after that, probably after Blade...

Thanks again for all your work

Chuck, two boxes going out today. Just let me know if you want more and I'll send em on.

Thanks!

Thanks Don. I hope to order 2 more after Blade. My mail carrier is not looking forward to receiving them but I am.

Good job, Doug. I'm not surprised you sold all of that steel. This stuff is REALLY good. Hell, even I can make a decent knife out of it:D

Hey Don,

Sounds good, I'll get an order in here soon....loved the stuff I picked up from you last year at Batson's, works really easily and you're right, you can get hamons with great activity with this W2.

On another note, how big of a show is the BAM conference? I'm thinking about heading there to set up as a vendor, but I don't know anything about the conference...how many people are usually in attendance at this event, any idea?

:)

-Darren

Darren, BAM is the largest sub chapter of ABANA and the conference is one of the largest. I don't know how many people are there, I would guess it's pretty close to the crowd at Batson's. This year is supposed to be larger though.

Not as many knifemakers as compared to Batson's but a good many, most of the attendees will be Blacksmiths but they build forges too :D

I hope to see ya there.

Don, I'm down to the last two tons, I'll probably keep most of that for My self, I'll have to write 1018 on it before Peter Martin stops buy. Doug

Yup, divert attention to the waterline. The neighbors are more worried about the sinkhole.

Oops, Craig

More steel Craig!?

Les George:)

Hey Buddy!.... sorry we didn't get more shop time when you were down the street....

Yup... can't get enough of this good stuff... and the fact that Don is such a great guy.... makes it irresistable:D

Hmmmmm..... maybe another box or two:eek:

I think my foundation is starting to tilt

This W2 makes great fishing sinkers..... forge them at just the right aerodynamic shape with an agressive hamon.... boy do they look good and fly :D really gets the bait out past the 120 yard mark where the big ulua are!

Thanks for the email and the update on the boxes Don... I'll be back for more...
