After being kind enough to take his offer of $35 shipped/paypalled on a $50 shipped Shallot I had listed, he opens a paypal dispute against me today because he hasn't received the package yet. He sent the paypal on SUNDAY :grumpy: Completely ridiculous behavior, I have tons of great transactions to my credit and have always made sure deals went down smooth. Anyone out there reading this, DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM. He makes rash actions with little regard to their impact on others. NEVER AGAIN!!!! Try to be nice to some people :foot:..........

Man that stinks!! Did you put tracking on it? If so just tell paypal the tracking number and you'll get to keep your money. I've been there. Always no matter how little the item use tracking!!

Did you ship him the knife? Did you contact him at all to let him know the package was shipped, or when it was going to ship? I can see how someone can get ancy after six days if there's no communication, but that does seem pretty ridiculous.

Thats BS man, sry to hear it.

Once I had ebay user agent009gm take over a week to pay, and then 3 days after he paid he was asking if his knife had shipped yet, I told him yes, he replied with what I thought was a sincere thanks, then not even one day later he filed a dispute, more than likely because he saw that I didnt get delivery confirmation w/ his package (my bad). I said F this and refunded his $ immediately, then waited til the last day we could leave feedback for each other and I left his scammin butt a negative, back when sellers could still do it.

Mr Barnett would not happen to live in CA would he?

Sent the knife Wednesday, with a tracking #. I am not sure what happened on this guys end, but it smells really bad of a scammer. What else would motivate someone to open a dispute within such a short time frame?? All I know is, he sent payment and asked for it to be shipped Monday or ASAP. I said, Monday maybe but ASAP yes. Then the dispute. Sounds like someone can't control themselves...... Bottom line for me is I gave a lowballer a chance, and it turns out he is a complete terd. Never again, not him or any like him.

Opens a Paypal dispute without E-mailing you first? What a tool. Of course you mailed it Weds with a holiday weekend approaching so I am not surprised at all it has yet arrived.

i promise gentelmen i am no scammer! i paid for this knife on sunday the 28. and Mr LaVenia said he would try to get in the mail on monday. so i figured if not monday the it for sure should have been sent out by tuesday. he lives in VA i live in KY. it should be here by now but it isnt. i tried to contact him and waited nearly 24hrs with no response. no tracking number provided. never let me know when the item finally shipped. if he had done so and let me know it didnt ship until wed then i would have known it hasnt had time to arrive. seems after he received my money i did not hear anymore from him. ive been scammed so many times in the past i got a little worried and yes i did open a dispute. i did not file a calim, only opened a dispute which merely holds the money until the item arrives. thats all. i fully intend to close the dispute the very minute the knife arrives so Mr LaVenia can receive his money. as i said i am no scammer. maybe i did jump the gun a little but as i said ive been scammed before and now im very cautious when making transactions unlike before when i trusted everyone i met. i hope this clears thing up.

I'm in southern KY and have waited longer than that for shipments from northern Kentucky. PayPal tends to be jumpy, and opening an unwarrented dispute on someone could really put them in a bind if PP feels the urge. If you have a list of people not to deal with, please add me to it. I wouldn't have been neary as calm as 007 if you pulled that kinda crap on me.

1, you never provided me with a tracking number nor did you even give me the courtesy of letting me know when you finally found your way to the local post office to ship it. 2, now you are calling me names. i have done nothing but be very professional and polite to you. i did attempt to contact you before filing the dispute with no response! you sure did respond after i filed the dispute! almost immediately after! seems to me you're the "terd" as you put it! what a looser! :jerkit:

it certainly does clear things up.

24 hours is not a long time to wait. i have been without computer access for far longer.

you paid on the 28th, but open the dispute because the item has not arrived by 7-3?

your rambling excuse has only led me to decide i would never sell you anything nor buy anything from you. you're wrong here, and filing the dispute was out of line.

He can add me to it as well. Even if 007 had shipped Monday, with a holiday approaching it is entirely possible that the mails would be slow and/or 007 would be away from the computer and not receiving comms. Even without a federal holiday approaching, any reasonable person would wait longer than 5 days from the start of a transaction before filing a dispute.

Patience is a virtue. I see absolutly no need to open a dispute after such a short time period.

I recently had a deal for a rather more expensive blade that took nearly 2 weeks
to ship after payment but I didnt go ape about it and it all worked out just fine.

Five days from the first day that the knife could have been shipped is way too short a time to be filing a Paypal dispute.

That says it all. Clearly no one can dare to deal with vwb563 unless he can be certain he'll never be out of touch for 24 hours or less.

I hate dealing with those who think I dont have a life outside of the net. And to those who insist on the delivery confirmation number, do you really go on USPS and type that # in even though no probs have evolved?

The confirmation is for the seller's protection. If you can't provide proof of delivery then paypal will take your money.
