i could care less! i purchase 99.99999 percent of my knives new in the box and dont buy others used junk! i have been a member here for two years and have done nothing but try to help others with their knife problems what ever they may be. if this is how you awsome members treat other members :thumbdn:, then i really dont want to be assosiated with "yall" anymore! last post! bye bye yall! :barf:

A). You must care. You keep coming back trying to save a reputation that quite frankly you ruined on the 3rd of this month with a hasty, ill conceived and poorly thought out Paypal dispute.

B). You said if this is how you awesome members treat other members, then I really don't want to be assosiated (sic) with "yall" (sic) anymore!
Yet it seemed to be perfectly acceptable for you to file a Paypal dispute against another member without a thought. Practice what you are preaching and try to think before you type. If you're leaving, then good riddance. WE don't need members like nor do we want them. Adios loser.

Please, save the histrionics.

Memberships are not deleted. They are left, and therefore future searches will reveal how that member behaved while on Bladeforums. If you no longer want to be a part of this community, just leave. It's really that simple.

Time to man up and admit your mistake and make things right.
Otherwise... Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

Moderators please delete this account! goodbye!

Why is it so hard to figure out that if nobody is taking your side, you just might be in the wrong? A simple apology and a reversal of your action would suffice to get you back in good standing with most here. Members here can be very forgiving when someone shows contrition.

Or, you can just go away!

I would like to know from the original poster if it is true that he didn't email the buyer with a tracking number or to let vwb563 know that the knife had been shipped.

It is "y'all". Allrightythen, carry on.
rats...
p.s. While other errors exist, I focused on the most egregious; you claim you are in Kentucky after all.

i have no dog in this fight but

vwb563 if after only 24hours with no email contact you think someone is a SCAMMER to me that says you are a little paranoid about internet transactions and perhapes you should not take part in them anymore.

Hes no longer a member, because you guys bullied him to the point of leaving. Nice work. He may be in the wrong, he said he got it the first time, and after that he said he would no longer deal with anyone. All these seconds and +1s to the same thing is just overkill. You don't have to dog him around with 50 posts of hate. Chill guys. Seriously.

Thanks Capt Obvious Im aware :D Learned the hard way. It just annoys the heck out of me when someone insists on the DC #. There is no reason to doubt my word when I say the item has been shipped, good feedback should back that up imo. I take it kind of personal when someone wants the #'s after I told them it shipped.

Trust but verify. How hard is it to supply a tracking number? No need to get excited about it. Maybe the buyer wants to know if they missed it, or needs to know when to expect it.

I wish he had taken Esav's advice on the matter.
He's had some good posts here at BF and I never saw him make any trouble.
His responses in this thread seemed out of place for him.

we need to look out for each other here.

sometimes that means exposing the scammer, sometimes that means exposing the guy who's just a pain in the ass to deal with.

would you want to deal with him given his current propensity for overreacting? he could have done this to any one of us had 007 not posted about his experiences. to me, its not worth the headache or stress.

there was no legitimate reason to distrust 007.

based on his responses here, we are better off without him.

It was only 49 'posts of hate', you were the 50th post. The guy didn't see where he had made a mistake and after it was pointed out to him (repeatedly) he makes US out to be the bad guys. We don't nee or want him or others like him here. Good riddance. If this keeps up it'll get to the point that no one will deal with anyone without a background check being done and no one wants that.

I suppose. Having purchased MANY things on-line and needing to use DC# only when a problem has been established, less than 5 times out of hundreds of purchases, I personally see it as paranoia. But hey, now I post on-line so DC# is only $.19 and it is automatically sent to the buyer once you print the label. For those who ship from time to time, I highly reco printing your own labels. Has saved me good $ on the discounted delivery confirmation alone.

007 thanks for starting this thread. Hope all turns out in your favor!

i have been scammed in the past and it sucks to loose several hundred dollars in knives to some ass wipe who never paid me but promised the check was in the mail. he even provided proof with a fake post office receipt which was sent to me by email. all i have done is to protect myself in this transaction.

To imply there was a chance of 007 Agent ZZero scamming anyone. . . . Well, a check of 007 Agent ZZero's feedback. . . . .

Positive feedback:

3 months = 3
6 months = 12
12 months = 28

Yup, I can see where you would come to your scammer conclusion.

Please, never attempt to "help" me.

+1

I hate dealing with those who think I dont have a life outside of the net. And to those who insist on the delivery confirmation number, do you really go on USPS and type that # in even though no probs have evolved?

I just think that supplying the tracking or delivery confirmation numbers is a courtesy that should be provided. If you are sending an email letting the other person know that your end of the deal has been sent, it doesn't take more than a few seconds to add the number.

On the topic of the necessity of a DC, I have a story that happened to me. I had not begun doing internet exchanges until summer of '08. Since then I have had smooth trades and sales. Then in last December, I had a nonknife related trade on another forum. The deal was that I would send my item out first because I had less reference than he other person. So I sent it out, but for whatever the reason was at the time, I didn't get a DC. A few weeks later, the receiver PMs me telling me that nothing has arrived. Since I had no proof that I had sent his stuff out, there as no way to convince him that I sent his stuff out. At this point, a mod had been notified of what happened. I insisted that he kept his end of the trade so he would not be losing anything. Well needless to say, because of this whole ordeal, I am now in a one year ban from exchanges on that forum.

I always use DC and request it to avoid another siuation like this. No, I don't have time to sit around all day with UPS or Fedex or USPS website open to track my incoming goods every minute of the day. I might check them every nce in a while, especially if I am exited about what is coming. The point of the DC to me is to avoid disputes such as the one I had. If I claim to have sent something to them, andthey claim that they didn't get it, I can have some evidence to protect myself with. And vice versa, if I have the DC of something that is to be sent to me, I can at least look into the other possibilities of wrong address delivery (this has happened to me) or something else.

That's my view on tracking numbers.

I like to send the buyer the DC # as soon as I can just as a way to reassure him that I'm not ripping him off. Since most of my sales have been to people I've never dealt with before I think it just makes them feel better about dealing with a stranger.
