I hate dealing with those who think I dont have a life outside of the net. And to those who insist on the delivery confirmation number, do you really go on USPS and type that # in even though no probs have evolved?

Besides that normally just tells ya a package has been mailed and when it was delivered.Heck, I don't know how many times I've gotten my package and the confirmation number still comes up in the system for a couple day's as no record of item.People got lives outside her for sure,he could have at least gone 48 hours without a response before getting nervous enough to open a dispute, sheesh.

If you're going to critique someone's spelling, be careful of your own. The word you want is "loser".

im not criticizing his spelling. only his name calling. i smelt a possible scam and took precations to protect myself. some say i didnt wait long enough before filing and thats ok. they have a right to their opinion. my opinion was it should have arrived by the end of the week and it didnt. yes paypal will take your money if you cant provide proof of delivery and IF the seller continues with the dispute and files a claim! i do not intend on nor anticipate having to do so. he has a tracking number which will protect him from a scammer. i doesnt matter to me about the tracking number. when the knife arrives with or without a tracking number i WILL end the dispute which will release his money. its as simple as that. as i have already stated, I AM NO SCAMMER! AND I DONT WANT TO BE SCAMMED EITHER! i have been scammed in the past and it sucks to loose several hundred dollars in knives to some ass wipe who never paid me but promised the check was in the mail. he even provided proof with a fake post office receipt which was sent to me by email. all i have done is to protect myself in this transaction. when the knife arrives the dispute will be closed! have a nice day! :)

good for you esav.............

wayy too short of a time to open a dispute, i too am often off the PC for a day or 2, for instance i dont even try to get online if i am staying at my girlfriends any more her PC is a '95 model and it drives me nutz to have to try and use it so i dont anymore.

ya just have to have some patience and give it at least a few days (ie 2 or 3 at least ).

folks on BF gen'ly are not dealers and shipping and such has to be stuck in between family matters & other daily chores so a few days from sales to shipped it not a big deal, to me anyway.

i of course can understand someone wanting something ASAP (i am the same way) but still ya have to chill.

You have 45 days to file a dispute, I would personally wait untill I was closer to the end of that 45 days rather than the start.
It would have been much better to just give it a bit of time to find out whats what than kick up a fuss because it didnt arrive when you wanted it to.

Opening a dispute after a few days was a poor show indeed.

The confirmation is for the seller's protection. If you can't provide proof of delivery then paypal will take your money.

Thanks Capt Obvious Im aware :D Learned the hard way. It just annoys the heck out of me when someone insists on the DC #. There is no reason to doubt my word when I say the item has been shipped, good feedback should back that up imo. I take it kind of personal when someone wants the #'s after I told them it shipped.

my opinion was it should have arrived by the end of the week and it didnt
Dude, many variables to take into account besides for just your opinion. What you did was wrong, as another member mentioned, you have 45 days to file. Filing a premature dispute with someone w/ a bunch of good feedback just because you can is WRONG. It really makes you look bad. Everyone here has made purchases and had to wait a few more days than they would like Im sure, still, we keep the good faith unless we are givin a reason not to. Your seller gave you NO reason to lose faith imo.

A couple of things:
  • You low-balled the seller to start with
  • Then you waited a long time to pay
  • And you insisted on a specific mailing date
  • Now you think You are the one being scammed??
  • So you pull the trigger on a Paypal complaint
  • and your defense is what again???
It just seems to me that the people who are the most prickish are the ones that have the least to bitch about and the least risk in any transaction.

You sir are a terd...........YOU should be apologizing and removing that paypal dispute right NOW.

Your actions are those of cheap, disrespectful, selfish individual. If you are more than 12 years old, then you know better. ANY adult with ANY amount of common sense would know better than to pull this kind of thing on anyone.

I hope you can feel yourself circle the bowl as your are being flushed like any other common terd from the the minds of any future sellers. Nobody wants to do business with people like you. And you are the reason that good sellers have to raise their prices and have selling rules.............you waste time and cost time and money for no good reason............and it is all a giant waste.

Grow up, terdly.........

ixl1910, I hadn't noticed the time it took to pay. Dude took 8 days to pay after a deep discount, yet expected it to be mailed the minute he got around to paying for it. Sheesh.

WoW!!! Lowball offer than late payment then paypal dispute over nothing. You waited 8 days he waited 2 days so whats the big deal? Maybe he should have waited 8 days to show you how it feels. You need to be closing the dispute. Hopefully you get your knife tomorrow so this mess can be cleaned up!!

You acted way too fast. Sometimes I sell a knife, and for whatever reason, usually busy with work, or something else happens, I ship it off in 1-2 days.

But when I was sick last winter, it took me about 4 days to get a Severtech off, but I am thankful you weren't the buyer and the buyer was very understanding.

If its not there in 2 weeks and you live in the States, then I would start to worry.

wow! jump the gun or what! i'll never do business with vwb563. low balls. drags his feet in paying. jumps the gun on a dispute. a nightmare drama.

no one is saying you are a scammer.

but it sure seems you are a pain in the ass to deal with. low ball (which 007 was kind enough to accept), pay late, expect immediate delivery during a holiday week, then open a dispute when the timeline has not met your standards.

ok this shows exactly how much you guys know about this transaction. i paid immediately after he accepted my offer. no i did not take 8 days to pay! i made him an offer and he accepted 8 days after the offer was made. i paid as soon as he accepted. so to all you who think you know everything,,,well you dont! so get your facts straight before you post!

perhaps. if so, point conceded.

still wouldn't deal with you....

i promise gentelmen i am no scammer! i paid for this knife on sunday the 28. and Mr LaVenia said he would try to get in the mail on monday. so i figured if not monday the it for sure should have been sent out by tuesday. he lives in VA i live in KY. it should be here by now but it isnt. i tried to contact him and waited nearly 24hrs with no response. no tracking number provided. never let me know when the item finally shipped. if he had done so and let me know it didnt ship until wed then i would have known it hasnt had time to arrive. seems after he received my money i did not hear anymore from him. ive been scammed so many times in the past i got a little worried and yes i did open a dispute. i did not file a calim, only opened a dispute which merely holds the money until the item arrives. thats all. i fully intend to close the dispute the very minute the knife arrives so Mr LaVenia can receive his money. as i said i am no scammer. maybe i did jump the gun a little but as i said ive been scammed before and now im very cautious when making transactions unlike before when i trusted everyone i met. i hope this clears thing up.

You may not be a scammer, but I bet your buying days here are over. You are the epitomy of class....NOT!!!!

its not about how we treat you.

its about how you treated a well respected member and how you fail to see the implications of your action.
