WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE: GEC Outlaw Jack #76

Awesome pictures!! I have a request, can you take a picture with the main blade out compared to the #85 jack or can you measure the length of the main blade?

Thanks!
I second the praise on the pics and also the request!

Thanks, fellas. Glad they help.

Perfect! So the blade is the same length as the #85 (I just measured mine). Thanks for the pics. I dunno, this might be the one that makes me break my golden rule of never buying more than 1 of a specific pattern.

Just plain awsome!!! Thanks for posting up those great pics. That blade is bigger then the #66 which is 2 5/8 with a 2 1/4 cutting edge. Sure the square bolster plays a part in those slightly bigger dimensions. GEC is killing me, its like they know I am waiting to see the yellow one. That rootbeer sure is beautiful though, nice catch

Thanks Jazub, great pic's, just what the doctor ordered! I too thought the blade would be about the same as the #56 so good news:)

Hurry up postie!

You got a nice one, Jazub. Great coloration. I've seen elsewhere that the pen blade on these is longer than that of the 66 pattern. Speaking of the pen, is the very tip peeking up so that it might poke or cut skin? I hate when they do that.

Beautiful knives guys, thanks for posting the pics.

This knife got me off the sidelines like I knew months ago it would. Ordered the bone Northfield (non serialized of course) and will see if that is enough to get me on the bench again. Don't know if I'll carry it or not... take a whale of a knife to get the owl on the dresser.

This is tough, I can't decide between copperhead jigged bone and the yellow rose. Decisions, decisions...

About the same boat over here confucius. I have a jigged yellow rose 66 and debating if I want to make the yellow rose my collection series. I like everyone I see, but I do tire of having everything the same. Ah, ill give it a bit of time and wait to see dealer pics. Hopefully that will help me pick just ONE :D

Thanks, biglmbass. No #66 here to compare. I'll have to pull out the #48 jack to check but it appears to be the same large size pen blade. And no, this one does not have any proud tips, I'm glad to report. That is a buzzkill feature when it occurs.

If I hadn't gone for the Rootbeer Float Acrylic it would have been the Buffalo horn. They look really classy to me.

I agree I really liked the buffalo horn, but I REALLY liked the clip with the long pull and the lined bolsters.

I think I'm decided on the yellow rose, I get the feeling that after some good honest use it will look real nice with a patina contrasted against that bright yellow bone.

Yep, I can see that. I had and lost #73 Texas Rose, it is lovely stuff:)

Just got mine in copperhead bone last evening and it is absolutely gorgeous. Nice half stops with an attention getting snap open (just as I like)and it closes with a nice solid snap. Fit and finish are as close to perfect as you're likely to get. The two blade jack has always been my favorite pattern but this is the first one I have owned.

Most of the changes in what I carry accompany pretty big changes in my life. I can point to this one or that one and take you back through grad school, my first job after that, etc. I bought this one to go along with my upcoming marriage in a month. Don't know if I can wait that long to stick it in my pocket. :)
