Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

I am sure IG will be disappointed that you will not be arriving for Christmas or New Years. I know he will be deeply saddened for your absence. I know its hard sometimes for families to get together. But it happens. I suppose a week late is better than never. As for me I will be doing some last-minute Christmas shopping this week-end. :D:foot::jerkit::thumbup:

The story I got from IG AKA Wa..Wa..Wally, was that when Jacob was a baby, George sent him to Texas wrapped in a box with no air holes :eek: in it.

Kook and I will be heading for IG's around 7:30 AM. I've got a pattern welded piece of steel that I want to forge out.

About 1/4 after 7 AM, just called Kook, he's on his way to my house. We'll take my truck to IG's, as Kook has never been in my new (2005) Dodge Dakota. Anyway, gas is cheaper in MA than RI.

IG will be making an early lunch, as Kook and I have to get back on the road around 1:30 this afternoon.

Got a couple of little projects I may be able to work on at George's.

Just got a call from Kook, he got a flat tire getting onto RT 95, exit 2 in RI. We'll be running a little late :mad:.

I was going to start another knife, but the wife reminded me of the presents to wrap and the preparations to make for having Christmas at our house. No new knife until after Christmas I guess! :D I'll be baking Christmas cookies on Sunday, so stop by and have some! -Matt-
 
welllllll, I got called up to be the cutter on a last minute "over xmas vacation" tile job. 1400 square feet of demo and install, with some ugly concrete underneath.

So the whole last 2 weeks in the daytime I've been pulling carpet, levelling floors, installing underlayment, and cutting tile for the 3 tilers.

So this weekend I am catching up on a few knife projects, and finishing my son and daughter's train table for xmas
 
I'm making sheaths for 4 different knives. So will probaly make about 8 to get them all right.

Well today is my brithday and I have hit the big 54 mark. Man I am getting old. Today going to set back and have a great day with the wife and son.

Got all my Christmas list done. Now just waiting on the fat man in the red to come. Hope all of you have a great Christmas and New Year. And thanks for being a friend. ------;):):D:thumbup:

I took time out to visit friends and did chores around the house. On friday I bottled the batch of beer, and on saturday put down another pail of red wine, should be good drinking by summer time.

well, sheeeeit. I had knife plans for today, but the wife is all like.....

"Leif could use a bed."

okay, he's 4.5,maybe it's time for a real bed... I guess. So we go to ikea, look at this almost nifty cool loft. almost- the stand height underneath is only 33 inches, which is a bit stupid. And it's 2x2 pine construction, for $185!?!?!?!

So we bought the mattress in kiddo single size. I went to home despot and bought some redwood.

TOTAL price, $93.68 and dude has a viking loft bed. That he can stand under.

I wasn't wearing the tutu. That was BBBB Beaver.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to yall. This will be the very last Christmas in this old house. Many good memories but also some really bad ones since this was my grandparents house. Once we move we will finally have some closure. Should be out of here in about a week and a half.

Family been in for the week and some went home today. I am going nuts with all the small kids. But it was fun having all of them come over to see us. Sunday will be setting back and getting fat with all the food my wife fixed. How about you of you good knife maker's? :D
 
Looks like I will also be doing some problem pest wild pig exterminating this weekend too. My buddies dog got mauled badly on his hind quarters by the boar but is still alive and walking a little. From what I was told its about a 200-250lb boar with some big tusks and some other pigs too. Anywhere from 10-15. I'm going to go for the boar first but I have to only use a bow since the neighborhood might throw a hissy fit about me firing a gun and I don't have any traps nor do I know anyone with some traps. The whole neighborhood is scared of these pigs so I want to take the most dangerous ones away first. Wish me luck.
