Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

My cat had her litter earlier this week. Their eyes aren't even really open yet but they sure make a lot of noise. Had a mild thunderstorm this morning, first of the season... scared the dickens out of the kittens. :D

Probably just stay home all weekend and make sparks... I have plenty of projects in the works. I hope it clears up a bit 'cause I have a nice venison shoulder thawed that needs to go on the grill. Too bad the HT relish isn't ready yet.

HEAT TREAT'G RELISH

90% HABANEROS
10% CAYENNE OR SMOKED PEPPERS
KOSHER SALT
BALSAMIC VINEGAR
WHITE VINEGAR
GARLIC
BASIL
OREGANO
WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE
EV OLIVE OIL
For the smoked relish just smoke the peppers for 3 hours.

What are amounts/proportions for the base? Y'know in case a SANE person wanted to make relish with slightly less lethal peppers... Not that I'm not looking forward to some of the real deal! I showed the pic of that box of peppers to a friend... she says her BF likes spicy food and will want some... bwahahahahahah! :D:cool:
 
Somebody obviously threw some of IG's sauce into the woods ! This was yesterday , 300 yds from my house !

J. Turkey!!!! Amounts??? I never measure the proportions. :confused:A dash of this, a handful of that and etc. I do it to taste.;):D , after tasting it a couple of times the Ole Buds burnout, then I let the BBBBB Beaver be my taste tester. HEHEHEHEHE!!! He puts a tablespoon on everytihing he eat:barf:, well almost.;)

It was a good day today. Woke up very early, had my coffees (many coffees) etc., went out the garage and sprayed some penetrating oil on a few stubborn bolts from my yard tractor attached 42” snow thrower, which needs repair, washed both Linda’s SUV and my pickup, and a few more chores around the house, then I went back into the garage and took off the pieces I had sprayed earlier.

I rolled out my 79 Shovel Head and rode it to Wa..Wa..Wally’s house where Gary was giving IG a few pointers of his forging skills :jerkit: ,

While we were hanging out, IG had a delivery of Habanera Peppers from Lubbock, TX, about a bushel of them. Warning to those who plan on acquiring some HT relish, these are right up there on the Scoville Units for Habaneras :eek:.

Had some wings and Portegee rice Wa..Wa..Wally made,good stuff, a couple of his beers, if you can call Bud beer. I left IG’s around 2:30 and had a beautiful ride home. Great day for riding. Hope you all had a great day also. :D
 
Did more shop cleaning (gah this is like the 4th weekend in a row cleaning and its' still not done) and met with Spike Mangler and Paul who drove up to my shop for the first time, though we didn't have time to actually do any forging or anything. I bought their old heat treating oven from them so now I can start working in more complex steels, and get better more consistent results from my others. Of course now I need some real quenching oil =P

Tomorrow i need to mow the lawn (argh) and (hopefully) FINISH cleaning the garage =P
 
Ummm I helped my brother move, I sat on his couch with his roommates (rugby teammates) and ummmm drank beer and ate pizza for 7 hours. I'm about to go to sleep.
