Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

... I know a fella who saw dozens of these pushed overboard as it was cheaper than offloading at the dock...

That makes me want to cry! :(:(:(

I have about 8 pages of info on fairbanks hammers, including the telegraph names of each part. Hehehe :D. I think what I have was originally their booklet given out for trying to make sales. It includes basically charts, pictures, and a few paragraphs about the features of the hammers. I'm gonna post videos once its fully operational. :)

No they weren't Luke, the anvil and sow block are about 1,400lb. Thats the total weight of some of the new air hammers .

I'll be working on my Gokarts, taking both that don't work and making one that does :D . That'll teach me to watch Speed Racer :D.

I'm going to a spring gas-up steam show Saturday. Great tail gate section there. Then Sunday our sportsmen's club sponsors a free kids fishing day Lotsa fun!!
Dan, sounds like you have the same printed info I have. You have the paper with the tire welder?

Today have Toeburner coming over. We will be cooking up some of the Morels he pick in upstate NY, also smoking up some chicken with my homemade BBQ sauce on it. Saturday, I have Joe C. and his partner in crime and maybe BBBBB Beaver over. Sunday finish planting the garden. Monday my son is flying in from AZ. His company has a job that he has to manage in Marlboro, Ma. He will be here till after Memorial Day. Also a week from tomorrow having a cookout for him. So if any of you Bubba's are in the area stop over. Bring your own beer.:D

:yawn::mad: Pulled of a first yesterday, got to work at 5 AM and worked till 2:30 AM this morning. I'll be back at work around 8:30AM this morning

Sorry Wa..Wa..Wally, I won't be seeing you this weekend, cause I maybe working tomorrow, but I sure hope not.

Chris ( knifemaker87) brought over my new sword. It is a first class job, as would be expected from him. Looks even better in the hand than on the screen. I was really stoked.

Took it to my knife and BBQ friend, Don, to show, and found out he is facing serious surgery. Looks like he is having a preventative colon removal, due to the serious rate at which his pre-cancerous polyps keep growing ( removed 22 in the last year, and several that can't be reached). The docs say it is only a matter of time before they go cancerous if he doesn't remove the large bowel. That was not happy news. I'll help him keep his restaurant open as much as I can while he recovers, but it will be a slow and unpleasant recovery.

Finishing up on two knife orders this weekend. Going out of town this weekend as well. We been invited to our daughter home for a big fish fry. Its a special occasion there. They are bass anglers and you would not believe the size of the fish. I will be stuffed when I leave there. They do this one time a year. They get in all kinds of tournaments. So, with all that being said, I want to wish you all a great holiday week-end. Enjoy yourself and have a nice day. :)

Going to IG's tomorrow, then going to be in my shop the rest of the weekend building a coal forge for demos, and forging up "stuff"

My youngest daughter gave birth about three weeks ago by

We are going over to our other daughter's home to take care of the twins that are about two months old so that mommy and daddy can have an evening out together. Gramp and Nana have abusy day today but the rest of the weekend will be spent here at home with me in my shop and her in her "shop"/craft room.

I'll be at IG's as well till around noon time. Linda and I are going to her cousin's wedding Saturday evening, so I can't get too beered up at Wa..Wa..Wally's :D.

Sunday Linda and I will be taking a ride to Misquamicut Beach in Charlstown, RI, a friend is renting a beach house and their will be a cookout, etc.

Monday is recuperation day, maybe mow the lawn, play/practice some new songs for the band.

Hope you all have a great weekend and an even better Memorial Day.

A big big thank you to all the Veteran's out there and most of all to the ones who did not come home.

5/23/09

look'en for a new place to live, trying to finish up a few orders, before i have to take the shop apart. Spent all day yesterday working in the forge up at birdog's place. great day.

Just got back from Wa..Wa..Wally's mini HI. Jim Siska did a little grinding demo, Gary did a forging demo and I had a couple of blades that needed a little tweaking in the forge which I took care of, they're still at IG's in his annealing box along with another that I forged out. Monday, Linda and I will take a cycle ride over there and pick them up.

Next, around 5 PM, Linda and I will be going to a wedding.

Tomorrow it's off to Musquomicut Beach for a cookout at the house a friend has rented for the week.
