Week-end Post, What Are You Doing

Went to the South County Museum in Narragansett RI saturday like i usually do every 4th saturday of the month to meet up with some blacksmiths there and do demos and the like and ended up running into Kook (who i dont think is actually on these forums, but hangs out with Larry T. and lives in RI as well) who it turns out found out about the blacksmiths meeting by running into the wife of the president of the New England Blacksmiths at a coffee shop. Spent today digging a trench to lay electrical cable for a 50amp welder outlet in the garage, and spending too much money at WoodCraft picking up some burl wood.

Not really a good weekend here.Gonna be at my Dad's funeral tommorrow,he passed friday morning.:(
Got to spend most of the last week with him and he is at peace.

God bless, Stan. My Pop died in 2004. It is a life changing event that we all must take part in unfortunately. My heart goes out to you, brother.

Stacy,

Any chance of getting a copy of the alternate arrangement you wrote for that hymn your quartet sang at church a couple weeks ago?

I still haven't looked for the notes I made ( bad pun) on the last verse arrangement. They are at the church. I'll try and remember to look Thursday at choir practice.

Just got back from Williamsburg and unpacked. The weather turned out great, maybe a bit warm...but dry! I forged from 9AM till 5PM on 20 pounds of propane. Did five bowie/camp knives, three small hunters, and started a long sword. I also forged out and sold 9 or 10 Frederick crosses. People love to watch them being made and buy one right out of the slack tub.
Super ceilidh last night.

Yesterday was a catch-up day, then we went to dinner and to see Branford Marsalis.
Today I forged out a meteorite into a dagger. Looks good so far. I'll post some photos after I get it to 400 grit. Tonight I am taking the whole family to my friend's sushi place, should be eight or nine of us.It is my granddaughter's birthday today, and that is all she ever wants for her birthday.....to go to "Mr. Pangs" ( Kyung Soo Pang)

I guess tomorrow, being a holiday and all just continues the weekend so Monday , , , I'm going to HT the blade I forged out at Wa..Wa..Wally's last HI for Tom Brawley. I'll call Tom tomorrow morning around 7AM Monday, and I'll get the forge area cleared, annealing oven out and the forge lit, by that time Tom gets here we'll be ready to get the blades' HTreating under way. I've got a couple of them to do, so we'll be working a couple of hours getting this done. I'll also get 20$ from him.

Wa..Wa..Wally, I owe the club $20 for Tom's members
