It's working for me just like before the update.
I just copy and past the BBCode (second from bottom) directly into a message. No need to use the insert image button.

Upload the images to imgur, then link to them here and I'll take a look at them.

WRT blue type black background, are you talking about the dark mode forums style?
 
You’re probably fiddling with it already, but the similar threads thing is doubling at the bottom of the page on mobile.

Thanks for the tip. I will try it. I have a "Knives on my cat" post due anyway. (I'm on desktop, too. No smartphone here).
 
Yes ! This works. No more pesky banner. Still half format though.

Also, the threads showing are at least 10 years old. I predict a lot of inadvertent necroposting to result.
 
Disabled the "similar threads" widgets for now
 
Something weird happened, Spark Spark . The "Your Content" link in my profile had been showing only my content since the update. I wasn't bothered by that; but I just tried to use that to access a thread in which I'd recently posted...and my most recent post is there, followed by a bunch of posts from 2014.
 
Search engine rebuilt indices, then had to be reformatted for optimization and the indices had to be rebuilt AGAIN which means search should be back to normal at around 8pm eastern. If y'all notice, Post Areas is now back and will become more accurate when the index is done.
 
I see "Post Areas" is starting to come back. Not quite functional yet, but exciting to see it's coming along.

I kind of figured this would be a long process, given the decades of information to index. I assume that once it's completed it will also repair "Post Areas".

Wow looks like you read my mind as I was typing!
 
I was just wondering: we used to be able to upload multiple pics to a thread by dragging them all from explorer into the body of a new post. Now when I try to do that it only uploads one of the selected files. Is this something that could be done again?
 
I don't know about drag & drop multiple files at once. It'll need to be investigated
