went to my area knife store!

I wish there was a store like that up in norcal!

I live in SF and we do have some. Two stores come to mind in San Francisco:

We Be Knives in Pier 39: A fairly large selection of Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw, Cold Steel and more along with some higher end stuff from Chris Reeve, William Henry and others (Official Benchmade dealer with Gold Class knives).

TAD Gear near 3rd & 22nd ave about 5 minutes from ATT Park: Zero Tolerance, some Kershaws, Spydercos and a good amount of customs and Striders (official Strider dealer).

I also know couple others in the East and South Bay with production knives.

You're lucky to be close to Plaza. It takes me about an hour to get there (if traffic isn't bad) when I need a fix. You might also want to check out Grommet Collectibles in the Moreno Valley Mall sometime (tell Andy that Mike sent you : ) - not as good as Plaza in some areas, better in others. Great selection of swords, some armor, spears and other related stuff. Definitely worth the trip if you're that close.

wow man, my closest knife store is a Cabela's, which is 30 minutes away, and has a terrible selections and even worse prices :( if I had a store like this by me I'd probably be living in a ditch with an awesome knife collection though lol im probably better off without one.

well plaza is about 40 minutes away from me. so im not super close but i make a point to go there when i am close. thanks for the heads up about grommet. sounds like another place to check out

holy that's a sweet looking store! that can't be in komifornia. be honest now, you went into nevada or some other free state!

I'm glad I don't have anything like that close to me. I know I'd drive over there and come home without anything. Having all that in one place would overwhelm my ability to make a choice.

That's happened to me a Bass Pro once when I went in there to get a new fishing rig (rod/reel). Way too much bling to make a choice.

Where I grew up and still live, it was very unusual to have 700 rods to choose from and 400 reels. Maybe a couple dozen of each.

A knife store like that would drive me crazy.

I go to UCI and I still haven't been here -_-. There's nothing else to do in Irvine other than study, but I'm definitely going to have to check this place out. I had no idea they carried such great stuff! Thanks for sharing.

thanks for the additional pics Steven! and yeah 40 minutes is a fair drive but highly worth it.

I'll see you at the Costa Mesa show in October.

Good Lord, you are one fortunate guy! Like other's have said, I'd walk out of there with my credit cards maxed and a big stupid grin on my face if I ever made the trip.

Edit: I just mapquested (is that a verb?) it and the store is only an hour by car from LA, where I fly into about twice a year for business. Oh YES, gonna have to start saving my pennies.:D
