What cheap knives do you think are a must have?

Sorry that I am not familiar with all the Victorinox models (they make so many) but which one is that?

I really like the selection of tools that I can see - great stuff for EDC! The small and large blade are always useful for various cutting tasks and the file, saw, scissors, bottle opener and can opener - well that covers a hell of a lot of useful tools to handle many common tasks. The flat screwdriver on the bottle opener is something that I also use quite a bit on my Cybertool - it makes a really useful light pry tool.

If you were carrying that SAK in the picture could you ever truly be poorly equipped? MacGuyver could make or do just about anything with one of those on hand!

That is my latest Vic SAK and it's a dandy!!! It's a "Ranger Plus" in Sapphire Blue. The only thing I wish it had, is a magnifying glass like my "Champion Plus". With the plus you get a ballpoint pen a pin and a eyeglass screwdriver. :D Under $40.00

I'm trying to keep my spending down at the moment, you are not helping! Actually this forum is not helping either.

I like knives but it is hard to beat or even equal the usefulness and versatility of a good SAK. I like to have a saw and a file on me all the time even though I hardly ever use them - there are sometimes tasks that require those tools and if you don't have them then you have a problem.

Victorinox Classic, Cadet, Solider, Farmer, and many other Vics.

Rough Rider many different patterns and a pretty good bang for the buck. I love them.

Case Soddies!

Bladetech Mouse (preferably orange) :D

Imacasa machetes! They're obscenely good deals.

Yes! And just about any knife by their subsidiary, Condor--especially the Rodan!. Also many of the Condor line fit in that price range if it's a model that sells with the sheath separately.

Gadgetholic you can just be like me and not have any money to spend

then it's real easy to browse this thread but slightly painful

I'm glad I'm not the only person in the world who likes the pocket bushman. It is cheap, solid, and very usable. Don't everyone go out and buy a bunch and drive the price up yet, I still want to order 4 or 5 more!

Buck: BuckLite Max large, either orange or black, AKA 486, about $20, one hand opener (thumb stud), lockback, deep pocket carry clip, anatomical lightly textured handle, pointy and with lots of belly.
