What did you rehang today?

An all original large Plumb hatchet. I just scraped and oiled the wood, an tightened it. 3lb total weight, 18".

Very nice. As a non hatchet kind of guy I like that one for what it is worth. I am also partial to Plumb axes.

This was my first rehang. I found this head at a garage sale a few years ago. I've done a lot of research on it and I'm very pleased to own it. I've seen many Warren stamps, but none like this one. Does anyone know the age of it?

Pre-1950. High quality stuff.

German drop forged 1.5 lb head 25 in. overall length. Made the sheath also.

Just regular files. Handle is a golf ball with a hole drilled into it and pounded on.

I rehung this a while back. Pulled the metal wedge and wooden one. Put a softwood wedge in. Blo, I think twice? It was bone dry when I got it.
Messed a round with it and moved on to other axes.
As you can see it worked loose a bit. I am going to seat it again and blo a couple of times. If that doesn't work I will re do it with a hardwood wedge. This one is on me, probably should have gotten hit a few more times with blo at least before use.

This is all I did before I noticed it moved a little. Hadn't even broken a sweat yet.

I hung this old Craftsman single oval. I've been using his little brother for several years. I like the shape of these and how they cut. The steel is excellent. It's hand filed and honed. The haft is a 32" octagon from Tennessee Hickory. 50/50 tung/citrus oil finish.

Near as I can tell the Foulton I have is a pre Craftsman mark made by Kelly. Is that who made that Craftsman?
