What is your church knife?

Haha - its funny that I just bumped into this thread as I was just talking about this. My church is an old-school Lutheran Church where most of the folks dress up (but we are in a small town).

I don't dress up so much except when I'm the elder in service and I have to wear a suit. If I'm wearing a suit, I typically carry my Spyderco Sage 1 and a J-frame S&W in the pocket or on my ankle. Most of the elders in my church are ex-military or ex-police, so we all pretty much know each other is armed.

When I'm not dressing up, I typically wear jeans and a polo shirt and I can get away with a CZ P-01 and my Kershaw Rake or benchmade Bone-Collector small (or my Izula via Neck carry).

I can't imagine living in a place that prohibited me from carrying a knife or a gun in Church.

I kinda feel bad about Rednek. I feel like he got dogpiled, which isn't right.

However, I, too (as someone mentioned before), would feel quite ... odd... going to a church that frowned upon my carrying a knife. I mean, as it is, I don't even try to be discreet about it, other than I don't carry a fixed blade. Probably half the time, my knife is carried in a black "tactical pouch" on my Ligerbelt. The only thing I ever think about is whether I need to strap on my Leatherman WAVE also; most of the time, I don't. But the SOG or Benchmade assisted opener goes with me.

No disrespect but bad things happen anywhere so it's best to be prepared. I'm sure God will understand. The way things are these days, I'm never unarmed. I follow the motto "it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".

Totally agree with you brother. To many "crazies" in every place these days. I carry what I daily carry everywhere else (yes pistols also) and I'm not the only one at my church with the same mindset. The only thing I do different at church is turn my phone to vibrate.

My church knife is a Lone Wolf Paul Defender with carbon fiber and Gold Accents. Beautiful knife, Great steel, I love it!!

I usually carry this Bulldog beauty.

When I've been dragged to church, I just carry whatever knife fits in my pocket, like an SmF or Superhawk (or whatever other knife I fancy at the time).

My church knife is whatever knife I'm carrying that week. I've been carrying slipjoints and they are as well received at church as the office.

I work tech at my church and I Carry all the exact stuff I normally carry unless I running camera. Alot of the people in the band carries knives and guns because they just like them. One of my friends that played guitar carried high end knives and he was one of the only people who was into knives as much as me that I knew but he moved to California

Well, I am a pastor. While I don't generally have a knife on me at the pulpit. Sometimes my Esee Izula is in my back pocket. And I always have my man bag along. Containing my bible, lesson plan, sermon notes and such. Oh yea...my Leatherman Charge and Esee 6 are always in there as well.
