Spyderco Challif.

Discontinued model from Spyderco's old kitchen series. It's a kosher chicken killing knife, that looks and cuts like an oversize straight razor.

The sharpest knives out of the box, (on average), are Spyderco, bar none. In second would be Chris Reeve, (especially the Sebenzas). In third place would be Microtech, (these are PRODUCTION knives). The SHARPEST knife you will ever own will be the one that YOU sharpen yourself.

My sharpest knife right now is a toss up between my Carson U2 and my CS Tanto. The U2 cut the living devil out of my finger a few months ago, and I never felt it. The CS Tanto is just plain wicked-bad sharp. Ooops, forgot my sharpest folder, ATS-34 AFCK. My Victorinox SAKs deserve an honorable mention too. Later all

Anybody seen the bactine, please?!?!?!?

From: Ivan6-24-99 1120PM EDT Number one would be my Gunsite and Cold Steel Scimitar. Both razor sharp from box. Next Spyderco Military. But the sharpest Knife I ever had was a Carter fixed blade. I sold it but wish I still had it. Ivan

Well its not really mine, but my wife owns the sharpest knife I've encountered! It is a thin bladed carbon damascus folder by Darrel Ralph. Takes and holds an amazing edge!

I keep all my knives shaving sharp. If they won't take an edge like that, I don't own them.

For sharpest edge ability and holding I would say mine are in this order:

1 Russell
2 Cold Steel
3 Kershaw
4 Benchmade

and so on from there, that would be my top four picks.

I'd have to say that my two Kershaw's have been the sharpest, and with the cute little warning.
Aaron
ps my Spyde Viele was as sharp, if not sharper, but I had to sell it

I like my women like I like my knives: strong, sharp, well-formed and pattern-welded!

Without question, my Blackjack Model 5 single-guard subhilt. It's much sharper than any stainless knife I have ever seen (including ones I made) and what's more when it gets dull I can return it to this edge with absurdly little work... still makes my jaw drop any time I work with a Blackjack. Only Cold Steels in Carbon V can even come close among production knives.

In stainless, it's a toss-up between my own knives and the Spydies.
