What is your sharpest knife

I would have to say of the knives that I own, my sharpest knife that I own is my Pat Crawford Magnum frame lock assassin, just got it back from Pat and Wes, and it is super shapr. A close second would be my custom Randall Gilbreath, that I just had to send back to Randall because of a lot of blade play, and last but not least is the spyde Military I just received yesterday from prigger, He said that it has been sharpened, but I couldn't tell, sharp as hell. I have owned a CRK Sabenza, ane it made the hair jump off of my arm.

Tie between the Calypso Jr. and a Dozier K-1. Both are also easy to maintain.

To responed accurately, I went to check my Cold Steel knives. I have a Master Tanto, Urban Skinner and 4 inch Voyager Tanto with plain edge. There was no need to compare the Cold Steel blades to my Benchmades, old Gerbers, or others in my collection because the dullest Cold Steel is sharper than any other knife I own. The winner among the Cold Steel knives is the Voyager which is my daily carry knife. I keep it sharp using a Razors Edge system, a great sharpening system. I cannot seem to get a really razor sharp edge on my Benchmades. I guess because of the steel used and the fact the initial grinds are thicker than on the Cold Steel knives.

Right now it is a BG-42 lighting pair. ATS-34 is sharp and long lasting, but I've found that in my use a noticable difference in the steels. BG-42 is just sharper and stronger. CATRA testing supports this in Initial sharpness and longevity of edge. We will be performing lateral strenght testing this summer, and It'll be interesting to see the results...

The sharpest I ever had right out of the box we're both Bokers. An Applegate / Fairbairn that was like a razor, and an Infinity (ceramic blade). Found out how sharp the Applegate was the hard way, ouch!

Undoubtedly the sharpest from the factory are Spydercos... Every one I had/have - have been scary sharp...

close second was the Cold Steel Culloden. Wow - that thing was a Razor!

I mean, if I went around saying I was an Emperor because some
moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, people would put me away!

My Webb & Fisher custom skinner. Used to skin 4 deer and 1 hog last season before it needed to be sharpened.

Toss up between any of my RJ Martin customs and my Reeves (have several models of each - all will almost cut you just looking at them!)

The David Boye custom 4" hunter. I've owned two of 'em, and both were roughly twice as efficient cutting as anything else I've owned. Thin edges. Almost no secondary edge bevel.

Either my Ka-Bar USMC fighting knife or my Spyderco Delica. They're hard to compare since one is serrated and the other isn't. I don't actually have one, but the sharpest knife I ever handled was a CS Voyager. If I had tested its edge the with my normal amount of thumb pressue, I would have taken the pad of my thumb off! Fortunatley the clerk who was getting it out of the case for me had had an "experience" with one already and gave me ample warning. Since then I can;t wait for my VG to get here!

Just because I talk to myself doesn't mean I'm crazy. What's wrong with getting a second opinion?

My sharpest has to be the large Sebenza followed by my MT SOCOM. The Sebenza has never even been touched up and the hair will just jump off my arm... even threaten to take off the first layers of skin in the process!

The sharpest folders I own are the CRK Sebenza and my MT Socoms. The Sharpest fixed blades in my collection are the CRK Shadow III and the RJ Martin Quickening. The CS Tanto comes pretty close after that though.

Of all the knives I've seen and owned, the Cold Steel Recon Tanto is by far the sharpest knife I've EVER seen. I consider myself very knowledgeable about knives but I've been cut by this knife doing things my table saw wouldn't cut me for! Just kidding...maybe.

Out of the box-Small, Sebenza (BG-42)...of all the custom & factory knives I own I can sharpen my Tim Zowada L-6 Knife the sharpest!!

My second sharpest knife is my Cold Steel Voyager. Much sharper than that though is my Helle Polar. It's a Nordic style knife with no secondary bevels. It can cut a vertical, free-standing cigarette in half.

Sharpest folder..large Sebenza with BG-42 blade. Sharpest fixed..RJ Martin custom.

Undoubtably my two Busses--just scary sharp. A close second is my Reeve P1.

As for spyderco I have two and they are sharp, sharp enough to shave hair, but nothing special.

thanks and take care
