Indeed I did -- thank you. That thread's an incredible resource I've returned to many times for questions answered without having to post, but as many of the EDC-related links I've followed, I can't find an explanation of their differences. Nearest I can see in pics is it looks like the EDC3 has a clip point while 1 and 2 are more drop points.

The EDC2 preorder thread linked in the encyclopedia has quite a bit of info on the designs and slight differences.

EDC2 and EDC3 are the same but EDC3 has a swedge.
EDC1 and EDC2 have slightly different blade shape. Tip was raised a bit and belly moved forward from iteration 1 to 2.
All three were offered in Delta 3V.
The EDC1 was also offered in D2 (I think it’s actually PSF27). And in 4V. These are both rare. As are EDC3’s.
There are quite a few EDC2’s out there. It should be the easiest to find.
I’m working from memory here so I may have screwed something up or forgotten something.

I think a 1.2 EDC would be very much like the original EDC except I would modify the plunge a little bit to reflect our current manufacturing process and modify the scales to be like the scales that we used on the two and three, which were a little bit lower profile and worked a little better in my opinion. So, basically going back to the well but incorporating some of the tweaks of two and three.

Can’t wait for this one. Is this something that will be available for preorder? Is there a rough eta when production starts for these
