What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Nice collection
I like the variety of bolster stamps they offered this go round. That green bone with the bit of “soup” looks great.
those brokers ain’t to shabby either ;)

Thanks. :)

Agreed on the bolster stamps.

That green bone would have looked more awesomer had they not polished the sawcut to the point it's had to see and difficult to even feel. Pile side looks and feels like sawcut. But that's the picky OCD me being picky o_O, overall I like the green bone on that one.

They can certainly multiply quickly, even without chasing the older more experienced models.

Great collection of Barlows, the patina on your Boker expedition looks fantastic!

Charlie,
It’s been great to watch this whole amazing journey.
You my friend have placed your name into the Knife World - I love thinking about the future generations of Knife collectors, just imagine them posting that they have actually found a TC Barlow - and they can still just see the PPP etch!
THAT will be one of the finds of the Year!!

Thanks for providing that imagery of the future, Duncan!

I had a similar reaction when finding this old Schrade a few years ago, though the PPP etch is long gone...

I have a very modest collection of Barlows and even more modest selection of TCs.

Those are all beautiful Barlows, Dylan; some older treasures along with new.:thumbsup:

Gorgeous, and all examples of quality modern Barlows.:thumbsup:

Lest we forget : GEC is not the only ones who have made good Barlows :

An old SEO&S and a TC 14

Harry

Wow, Harry, you've got some Barlow grails there!:thumbsup:

Got them all shined up and they all look good John .
Yes, gave the Keen and the Cam a bath, some Flitz, and some new oil.
They look awesome and really added some authenticity to my collection. Thank you again Harry.:thumbsup:

Do I see 2 Imperials and 1 Colonial in there ??
Yes, two Imperials and one Colonial single blade.
The two Imperials are cheap but they are so well made and solid.
I especially like the sheepsfoot, don't see those very often.:thumbsup:

Great group here.
Thank you, Taylor.

What one is your favorite?
That's a really tough question...
The TC is special of course because it was a knife given to me by Meako and it's a forum knife.
The Heartshead is special because it's so "traditional", very exclusive, and makes me think of friends.
Finally, the Camillus is special because I always wanted an old bone handled authentic Barlow, and it fits perfectly.
