What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

now your just rubbing it in!
i love that gunstock walnut sheepsfoot...
Darn these unreasonable bills and lack of $$!
jealous :D

Rsmith77---I know where your coming from when you mention bills and lack of $$---When you do get the Charlow of your choice it will be so well worth the wait

That Walnut looks simply awesome Paul, I am pure jealous my friend.

Duncan, my friend---the Walnut is awesome---if you don't have one on order drop me a line my friend and we'll see if we can remedy that ;)

Paul

Paul, that is such a great offer - Charlie has my order there - ( I think ) and I would never take yours from you. I am off to the uk for 3 weeks in 2 days time, so there isn't a rush - going to meet Jack while I am there and we will do a Sheffield tour - oh Man this is going to be GREAT.
I too have my Charlows to use, but have a back up mintie in both the spears and the Clips.
Your a legend my friend, and my next trip is to get over to meet you guys ( and Sarah and Shiela too of course - as we would be quite lost without our great ladys here ) at a show if possible.
Right-my daughters here, and I am getting told off for looking at knives again lol.

Looking up the trail. Emphasis on up, though the steepness of the ascent is hard to capture on camera.

One of many more-than-worth-it views.

yah! Literally lol ;)
Now I hope you didn't get carried away with the view and leave that folder on the pin...you'd just have to go back up there!!!
Nice climb!

Beautiful pix Sarah!!! Very neat, love the ghost image of you ascending the rocky trail

Thanks for my Walnut Charlow, and the Canuck Comic Relief Barlie :-)
Its a beauty, and I feel honored to be part of the Heirloom Gunstock Fan Club.

Lucky you - got the comics section, Jon! Icing on the Barlow cake!

I KNEW you were intrepid Sarah! Glad the "~P-Barlow" was along for encouragement - not that you needed it!!!! Great pictures. How long does that climb take??

I wish I had more Spears, Jason - I get several requests a week, for one!!
All who have one, you belong to an exclusive club!!
Especially the PPP version!

That's my last spear, Charlie! It's the one you sold to me that was labeled as a keeper, and the tube is signed by you. It's my favorite charlow by far.

I just sold my only other spearpoint to Keyel. It was a stellar example of the saw cut red bone and of a TC Barlow in and of itself. Your words make me regret selling it, but at the same time, I'm even more excited for Kyle to be joining the 'spearpoint club' (it's also going to be his first Charlow).

By the way, did I mention how much I like my new Walnut "Gunstock" Sheepfoot? Well, I love it. There is some real unique character in the grain that I like a lot. Thanks again!

Yeah, I like that walnut too! It is not as "eye-popping" as some of the other materials, but has a subtle character I like.
Reminds me of various pistol grips I have owned also.
