What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Now what do you suppose that is, back there in the bush??

I was hoping Charlie would track down some jackalope antlers for the more cryptozoologically inclined folks in the forum. I thought we were collectors, only to be impressed with the rare and unusual.... Looking forward to the picks of that stag!

Hope it is a stag Charlow with swedged blades, long pull, and maybe I can get signed up fer 1.;)

Charlie, did you notice that this Thread has to be one of the quickest growing Threads?
200 pages - congrats my friend, it says it all.

Stag - Yes Please Charlie! with what options are we going to see this time around Sir?

Charlie, this is awesome news! :D Thank you for taking on this project. I just hope you make enough of them!

Ooooo. Hopefully North American Antler with Carbon Blades. Oooooo.

As long as we are making wishes...I wish for natural (not burnt) elk antler handles, brass liners, 1095 carbon steel, and a smallish coping blade as the secondary. :)

OK. Enough daydreaming. Back to work.

Well ... I don´t want to destroy dreams and illusions. I don´t hope it´s an april´s joke, but did anyone else realise the "recycling" sticker on Mr. Sawyers bucket?

I hope I´m wrong, because a stag Barlow could make me weak again.... :o

:D

Note the bucket says "Recycling." Recycled deer antler?

Sort of!

Another pair of sharp eyes!

Oh, Charlie! I hope this is not an April Fool's joke!

Not this time Scott, but perhaps a little mis-direction ;) !

Well, at least one part of the 2014 forum knife is known, the label on the tube or box the knife will come in.

This is not about the Forum knife, Al. Barlows only, and, about Waynorth (whoever he is??) extracting elements of tradition (using lesser materials on a company's Barlow offerings for economy) in a current interpretation!
If you hang around a bit, you will see some pictures!

This traditional Barlow thing is getting to be an ongoing saga!
I advise all who are truly interested to read this thread from the beginning!
There are some priceless bits of information contributed by many, and will help interested parties to understand the things we have talked about for so long now!
