What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

There are no markings on the blade or tang of the knife designating it a second? Typically you'll see a small '2' stamped into it

Yes there is a "2" stamped through the GEC on the tang...still, I hope no one would do that to someone!!

You might consider yourself lucky, though, since you have a more rare variation of the TC Barlow than most people. How many 2nds are there, maybe two or three from this run?

Man I wish I could try and keep up with you guys on all this information, but trying to even find one of these barlows in the newest release is next to impossible. I sent out emails a couple months ago trying to reserve one, and thought I had but alas it didn't work out. I'm on the hunt for one and can hopefully score what I'm looking for otherwise one can only hope another release takes place sometime in the future.

Somber, I saw just a few of the tan and a few ant. yellow. Not sure how many were there before I got to them. Guess I should have gotten one of each!!

Grkgod, I know what you mean. You have to search non stop all day, everyday, it seems to get them...or become one of the elite!!! The reserve lists from the venders are the way to go but they fill up in seconds when they are announced. It's a tough life at the bottom haha

And I'm pretty sure I emailed a bunch of different vendors at the advice of another person at least three months ago but I assume at that point it was already too late! And to think my interest with traditionals all started with the TC Sheepsfoot Barlow and I missed out on it :(

I know this is Sheepsfoot season, but I love my Rust Red Clip.

I believe there were quite a few factory seconds this time around, in both 1- and 2- blade versions of the antique yellow and old tan bone.

How and where are the seconds sold?

I found mine at Gunstockjacks...link is above. Again though, they sold very very fast.

To get this back on track a little, here's the mammoth beerlow I bought from Evan...is it Monday yet!? I'm using his picture cause mine probably wouldn't do it justice
