What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Traditional: check. Barlow: check. Good: heck yeah, it's UN-X-LD! Have a happy 4th everyone!

 
Picked up this Primble today, later manufacture, late 60's into 80's I think, model 5922 with a star. Made by Boker for Belknap.
Photos of it next to a Boker Tree Brand of the same vintage.

Augie my friend - once again you bring us another beautiful knife- I love your taste in knives- you snap up the knives I o wish I could be lucky enough to find - yet alone bring home with me.

This GORGEOUS African Blackwood Spey/Pen arrived in the mail today...sneaky, sneaky, sneaky!!! THANK YOU DUNCAN, I am very very appreciative of your extreme generosity. I knew something was a mis, when I was told by Duncan to cease contact with Barry and to basicly relax:eek:

A word of advice fellow traditional fans...don't play poker with Duncan and Barry!!!:D Yes our esteemed member Barry had a hand in this generous deception as well:cool::)

I love this Barlow and the story and Shenanigans behind it will always hold a special place in my heart:thumbup:

It looks great mate, and I owe you about a million knives so heres the beginning of the pay back. I am real glad you like that knife Paul, and to Barry - thank you Sir - you are indeed a Legend :thumbup:

Im just in the midst of selling my house so I can buy some more knives - no one has done this before and I am sure - having twisted this around in my mind for the last few years that this is an excellent move, and pioneers are always remembered for their bravery - so here goes!!! :D

Ok...maybe I am not THAT brave - Sue can still get to the Kitchen Knives ;)
