What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

My second TC Barlow (and first spey blade knife) arrived yesterday: A New Day single blade in copperhead pick bone.

cairndude - Great looking TC, congratulations

I got so fat tonight! ::D

willydigger - That's what I am talking about!!! That meal is hanging over the plate in more than one place!!! That TC looks right at home, Yum Yum :D:eek::D

Only my second TC, I've got a long way to go to catch up with some of you. Charlie has done a great job on these knives, so true to the the original traditional Barlow's.

Augie - A great TC!! You may be playing catch up on TC's, but you're hitting it out of the park on the rest of the Barlows :D:D:D:D

Bob - Looking good my friend, have a good Sunday :):):)

Some great looking 2-bladed Barlows Augie, Ron, Jack and Bob!

While I have a few of the older ones (Camillus, Western), I haven't picked up a 2-bladed TC Barlow yet. With luck, this may be my next conquest.

Thanks Dave, that jigging is outstanding, three lovely knives

Dave, I see your New Day has snuggled nicely in there with his jigged sheepfoot brothers. I like that copperhead.

Thanks Dave. Your pick really brings out the nice coloring of the copperhead. Wish I could have afforded one of each. :D

Thanks Dean. Initially I was focused on the single blades. Now I find myself liking the two blade TC's better. But they're all pretty sweet.

Better mark that bottle Jack. I hear Earl likes to get into the stash late at night. :D

Well he told me he was a bourbon guy Bob, but he seems to be liking my best malt plenty, so I think I'll take your advice ;)

Tomorrow (the postman) should bring me a New Day.:D
Which New Day I don't know. I'm expecting either a green bone or a black wood.... at this time it's still a mystery to me. (a long story)
I'm not even certain which one I want it to be. These pics have shown they're all gorgeous.
Bob with his black (green) bone, Half/Stop's and dave308ek's copperheads not to mention Barry's extra special group shot and Jack's beautiful Schrade. These pics are making the wait both better and yet more difficult at the same time. Is that even possible?
Anyways thanks guys for showin em, I know you meant well.... I'll try to be patient... and let you know which New Day shows up tomorrow :)
