Today was a welcome, if temporary, reprieve from the record highs we have endured recently (e.g. a few days ago: 109° on the back porch and 116° on the front porch). This morning, it was only 82° and there was a promise of Autumn on the breeze and in the leaves.

The arrival of this beauty dotted the day with an exclamation point.

From the scratted bone handles to the hammered pins to the distressed bolsters and blade stamped with the mark of an icon in the traditional knife world, it is its own mini-history lesson. And I doubt its mechanics and fit and finish could easily be improved upon... at any price. An exceptional example of craftsmanship and class... a reflection of its makers and its visionary.

I like it! ;)

And Sir you have very good reason to like it! Al another thing I find massively important - ( and I wonder Charlie if you have done this on purpose? ) But Charlies Stamp is Deeply Struck- to me this amplifies the early era of Stamping.

Although I don't have one from the last two runs yet I thought I would share my TC collection.. 8 so far and hoping to make it 10 soonish with a New Day and Ancient if I am fortunate enough.

With my main computer down again, I cannot post pics for a while (again!!!)

Thank you all for the pics, kind words, and celebration of this latest Barlow!!

And thanks to all the beautiful souls at GEC, without whom this wouldn't be possible!

Beside all the great people who visited Titusville, I just spent a long weekend with the greatest knife makers now in existence!! And some of their families!!

For a knife guy, it does not get better!! I am humbled.

It was great seeing you again and you certainly hit one out of the park with these Ancients! Good eye there Charlie!

Hi Philllll

Mate - lovely pair of TC's. Ok I'm going to ask- I haven't been able to join in as much lately - and I have literally missed out on a good 70 percent if what's going on and also what's available. So what is the singular TC etch on the blade to the right Sir- is it was that a special run?

Very cool! And when was that run made? A few years back or more recently (the spear with the long pull)? Thanks!

Thank you all :) Sendcakeplease Paul Hilborn added the ez notch for me, that's the TC that gets pocket time and my favorite worry stone. The rest are taken out to admire only since I have a few other users already.
