What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Thank You Charlie, Gev and Jack.
While the TC's are my favorite of any new Barlow made there is just something about a well used old Barlow that really does it for me.

Here my Case:

Fred, forgive me for asking, do you actually make these wee skulls etc? and if you do....is the process done by hand or do you have access to one of those amazing milling type machines?
I just love the passion and the style of your posts, yours and Augies post always make me think " Oh awesome" here are the guys again...
I am struggling greatly with the limited amount of time that I get to spend here of late, but this is what makes it worthwhile.

How are those wee friends of yours - our Forum Frogs?

Wundergussy, I am loving watching your collection grow and grow - you have some amazing, beautiful knives there, I too am deeply thrown with the TC knives- ever since Charlie came up with what I would his Brain storm - the HJ's bit deep too - actually very deep lol.
Nice work my friend it's great to see.

Thank you! I've had some great luck and greater friends that have lead me to the pieces I've found.

My photogenic frog keeps peeing on me when I try to snap a pic!

I do carve those beads. And the TC Barlow beads that was a prize in the TC GAW last year. All done by hand. No computers or mill. :D

Well then my friend- I hold talents in very high regards - its a pleasure to view them, I have one very special TC Bead and I think it's quite unbelievable - so thank you for that Fred - it's a pleasure to own.
I have my Axolotls - I dont think they would appreciate being taken out the water for photo's, my original batch used to come out only quickly now and then - but these guys arent too Rapt on that idea, but I just love all of the creatures we share ( or wish we would share more decently) this planet with.

I found this guy hiding out in a photo collage of hunting pictures and older hunting items in a popular outdoor magazine...
