What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Possibly so, objectively.

Subjectively?

This one's quintessentialer:

thats a beaut! i wish i knew about these when they came out. showed up too late to the party. rendezvous special? theres one floating in the bay atm for about $3XX.00+ :(

The Clip blade's were the 3rd release back in 2013.

Hmmm, I have spear blade mains first, then the clips as the 2nd release, followed by the sheepsfoot blades.

With all sorts of outliers and turn-ups sprinkled here and there throughout, of course. ;)

What'd I miss at #2?

There were 2 runs of long pull spears, the original one in 2012 and a second one in 2013 with the pen behind main.

Two new additions :) I knew that I'd love the sawcut but I had never seen yellow heart on a knife or anywhere else. It turned out to be one of my favorites from this run (along with the saw cut). The photo doesn't do it justice. My camera was damaged on a hike and I need to get a new one.

Great pair there Jake. I agree; its hard to capture the true look of the Yellow Wood. That Copperhead is amazing as well.

Awesome pair of #14 TC's there, Jake! I'm bummed that I missed out on the Yellow Heart Wood, it's killer!

Duncan, two beautiful examples there also my friend. Those PPPs are tough to beat.
Why thank you my friend, they are... Oh man they sure are...

I'll echo the same sentiments Duncan! That 1st set is tough to beat!!:thumbup:Dave
Thank you Dave - well you would know my friend - but man - each time they roll out!!! It just doesnt stop! yet another VERY successful version!!

Nope. That spearpoint sawcut remains the best. It is the quintessential barlow.
On ya Christian Sir!

Oh, you mean like this one? :D. I'll have to put it back into rotation and get better pics.

That Rob is a beauty - whether the knife has one or two - to be honest - it doesnt worry me - either one does it for me!although my tastes tend to go for the single blade a wee bit more.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone!

The soup bone wheel was a long time in the making. Hopefully one day I can show off a full TC wheel  (I'm gunning for you, knowtracks! :D)

Dean, I got a big kick out of your "L". The bone on that sheepfoot is spectacular.

I'll keep you in mind Philllll, IF, I ever decided to sell
But I have already promised the big kahuna that IF I do sell the collection HAS to stay together!
But I don't see it happening any time soon. :D After all I should at least wait till ALL the TC's that are ever going to be made, are made, before it can be a "complete collection" ;)
