I've been looking at these Canal Street Coppersmiths for some time & finally broke down ordered one. I'm impressed. The root beer bone goes nicely with the copper bolsters. The covers are fitted well, with no gaps or rough edges. The blades are perfectly centered. The spring is a bit stiff on both baldes, but the pull is smooth. I think it's a keeper.

Nice Ka-Bar Dog's Head Ironbut! You got me to take mine outside for a pose on the deck rail today. One thing about this one that I haven't seen on other's photos is the tang stamp...mine has Canal Street Cutlery Co USA instead of the usual KA-BAR. Wonder if it's the same steel?

Probably the same steel as Canal Street made the knife for KA-BAR.

Your copper's getting a nice patina, GE. My tang has K Bar, Olean, NY stamped on it.

Great knives everyone. I suppose something's wrong with me as a long time traditional knife lover and I've never owned or used a Barlow.

Hate to see this thread slow down - its one of my favorites of the whole forum. Maybe we can stir things up a bit.

Fantastic, Atiger! Several there that are still on my want list. Although I have an I*XL, the bone on yours is gorgeous! Of course, the Schrade stamped Barlow is top-notch. And your Russell is very nice, too! :D Fine examples all around.

Thanks for showing us.
