What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks.
The yarn I've heard is that they carried them in their lederhosen pockets.
You are correct I was getting mixed up the the Scottish.

These knives are carried in the right hand side side pocket of a traditional Bavarian leather pant, and just part of the handle is visible while exceeding that pocket. Bavarian dress knives are characterised by the special shape of the blade and in most cases by a decorated ferrule.

Going light today. Just hanging around the house getting my wits about me after having written checks yesterday to pay our 2021 - 2022 property taxes. Yikes!!!!!

Modoc ED Modoc ED , I was born in Oakland California and lived briefly in San Jose. Raised in Alabama.
Lived in San Diego (twice) and then in the bay area at Mare Island in Vallejo (twice) when in the Navy ... among other places. Have lived in 10 different states.
No way I could live in California now. Bless ya. Thing I love about Alabama is no state taxes on military retired pay ... or social security.
Additionally, I qualify for and have property tax exempt status on my homestead (once I turned 65). Life is good, and easy to live in Alabama.
Nice Buck by the way ... real nice :)
