Excellent knife on post picture... water in the background makes it even better. 🤠

What else do you need?
I could think of a few things. ;)
Great picture, Todd. 🤠
The old timer is great, I like old things that still get used. 🤠

Sometimes someone’s photo influences what I choose for the day. Other times, I’ve already chosen, and someone else’s photo assures me I’ve made the right choice. This is one of the latter.
I’m talking about @dave308ek’s post about USA Shrades being closed out for $5.
Two Old Timers are in my right front pocket today, because it’s Twosday. And Trapper Tuesday.81FF6239-E03D-4776-B166-12BDC77F5782.jpeg

While outside to take a sunrise lit knife photo, I checked to see how my food pantry liked the 28f temperature.
This row of arugula and romaines, not too much. We’ll see if it perks up later today when Mr Sun gets off his butt. You can see the romaine that I decapitated for last night’s salad...2A1FA54E-17DC-45FB-A2EF-5D54AC07CD70.jpegThe peas seem to have shrugged it off.93D257E0-1E9E-49DE-B8E8-039BE6D37196.jpeg

Carried the #68 today. We made a huge kettle of soup with our church.

Blimey, that's a LOT of soup!

I was thinking the exact same thing (well, except the “blimey” bit 😁), but being several days behind, I knew someone would have said it already.

Had a little care package delivered. They are not fresh enough to squeak when you eat them, but they are from Wisconsin so it’s a little taste of home.

I wonder how many people that are not from Wisconsin know that Fresh Cheese Curds will squeak when you chew them . I have never had any Curd from that dairy . My favorite is Decatur Dairy in Brodhead , Wisconsin , but there are many other very good ones too . Looks like your Parker / Frost has been used very little Jim .

Harry

I knew about the squeaking, but it took me a minute to remember where I learned about it. When we lived in Arizona, there was a brand of locally-produced cheese curds available at many of the stores. They were pretty good, too! I believe the squeaking was mentioned on their packaging.

They are also pretty good deep fried, but then again, isn’t almost anything? 😊👍

They sure are! 😋

My wife bought me these for 5 bucks each on close out from wally world when little did I know, the great American company Schrade was going out of business. Carrying the 34OT, and the 152 Sharpfinger was bought at the same time (of course wish I had bought more).

I was admittedly skimming a bit as I read, and my brain processed “5 bucks” and then saw the photos, and I thought, “I’m pretty sure that’s 2 Schrades…” 🤪😁

Still totin’ this guy around.

Thanks! I love carrying 100+ year old knives. It looked like this when I found it:

Nothin' a little epoxy can't fix:

Thats sweet, pointy, sharp and solid again. Love bringing old gems like this back into service. Using them far exceeds the pleasure I get from using modern tackle.

One you might enjoy.
No snap, wobbles, chipped and tipped blades, broken ivory scale. A mess:)
Glued/sanded the scales, edges, points and peened the slop out. Still no snap but I love using it!

Thought I'd give this single-blade, ebony, sowbelly some play today. Raining and muggy outside so we're staying home for another lazy day around the house. Might even hold off going to town until Friday when the Wagon Wheel Cafe has Clam Chowder.
