To be honest it’s hard to tell a difference with cutting performance but a convex grind feels like it holds a edge a little longer. Also this particular model a Gunny feels great in hand and makes a perfect EDC in non rural area because of its size and ease of carry but yet if your camping out in the woods it should be able to do all that you can ask of it and need.Never held one but always admired the convex grinds on these in pics. The jigging on tose lambsfoots gets me every time. One of GEC's best jigged patterns I've seen.
