Thanks, Todd... it was quite yummy. :)
Glad you finally found the time to do some fishing.
I'm also glad it was such a productive trip for all of you.
better than watching TV!
So true... but TV aint bad either depending on what's on. ;)
Wow John, what a feast! Cool pic
Thanks, Jack... Giving the Lamb a workout. ;)
So nice to see your Forum Knife out and about. 🤠

Yep, time spent with my girls.
Nobody here cares about watching sports, so if we watch tv, it’s Andy Griffith, Matlock, Perry Mason, Mannix or Hallmark Christmas movies.😁 Good old schmaltzy and formulaic Hallmark movies😙

A pair to cherish, my friend:thumbsup:

A thing of beauty. There’s just something about yellow delrin, isn’t there?
It's good to see that I'm not the only one that eschews (gesundheit!) watching sports.
I don't watch a lot of TV... my wife does. Netflix and Hallmark movies are high on her list. Yes, I watch them with her, much of the time.

Lovely pictures. Does dad carry any traditional?

I’m sure he had something with him. My Dad always had a knife when I was growing up, often times a small SAK or a small lock-back. I also remember an orange delrin knife that was more of a fishing/outdoor knife and a marlin spike. I’m sure he has some nice old fixed blades from his deer hunting days. I should ask about them next time we get together.
Glad you finally found the time to do some fishing.
I'm also glad it was such a productive trip for all of you.

Thanks, John. I’m glad I live close enough to my parents that we can spend time together. The fact that we all caught fish made it even better. 👍

Good Monday mornin.
I’ve got a John Primble today and a little 206 barlow.9FA68204-A5C1-400E-9023-5D7A83E2CD97.jpegI really like the Schrade Serpentine Jack in all it’s forms, maybe because one of the first knives I chose out of a hardware store counter top display was my yellow trapper, a 293Y. That was sometime in the early or mid ‘70s, and I carried it along with a 33OT jack every day for decades.
So, I was looking for a Schrade 294 when I found this knife they made for Primble. It’s got a little blade loss and scratches from ham handed sharpening, but is tight and snappy, so I’m not afraid to use it. I am thankful to have the hard shell slip from JohnDF JohnDF to protect the bone. It’s got one crack, so I really don’t want to drop it.
I am no collector, but partly due to all to y’all’s influence, I have accumulated multiple examples of a few patterns, TL-29s and these serpentine jacks, in particular. Besides the 293 and 94 trappers, I have a couple in 294 form~ long clip and pen secondary, which I think is close to ideal, as well as the single blade 194s. And
I love it when one of you posts pictures of your GEC #48s, especially waynorth waynorth Charlie’s Diamond Jacks, which are gorgeous, and look to be a faithful rendition of the Schrades.

Have a good one!
