That board looks like the ones I remember being unable to ride.
I think you're right about the powderhorn, and I think those had a snap- on bolster over a hollow rivet.
Love your skateboarding pics. Straight out of Dogtown. Tony Alva has nothing on you. Glad your skating with your son. The only time my father showed up at the skate park was to drive one of us to the hospital.
Nice knife Bart, but the skating picture is really cool. You look like you know exactly what you’re doing!I also like the red shields. I haven’t seen those before.
bigfish64 Ask and you shall receive, Todd. Old guy skating today:

Love the Micarta John, and the “Roadrunner” stop those 92s have is so sweet.
Absolutely! My son is eighteen and out of the blue he asked me to go with him to a skate park he found when we were on vacation this past summer. We had a great time even though I didn’t skate.I skated as a kid and started again when my son got into it. It all comes back pretty quick. I wasn’t great then and I’m still not.
Thanks. It’s been fun to have the ramp in the backyard. We still go to a skate park on Sunday mornings. I have to take advantage of it before he’s embarrassed to be seen with me in public.![]()
Great picture Jon, all kinds of cool stuff there and that Case is beautiful.View attachment 1686973

Jump for joy over the jigging in that pair, Steve!
Thanks for the kind words, Jeff; my old Imperials and Colonials are among the knives I enjoy most!Nice that you give that old Imperial some lovin! They may have gone low budget working man’s pocket knife with their shell construction and vinyll overlays, but most I’ve seen have excellent springs and action. And have good blade steel.
It looks cool in it’s naked glory, but have you ever thought about painting it?
Thanks, Todd. When I was collecting this series Gary I tried to buy one of those canittlers a few times but never could land one. Yours is very nice!

Thanks for sharing the story of Porch generosity, Jeff; plaudits to Jim and Rick for their thoughtful kindness!A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I’d lost my trusty little Schrade 12OT jack somewhere in the garden last spring, and within a couple of days, I received two offers of a replacement. Thank you, Jim and Rick!!!
(315 & @RLB0414)
I almost declined, because I don’t need another knife. I have a couple of other small jacks I can carry in that little pocket in my blue jeans, but how could I resist that lovely Schrade Serpentine Jack shape?? I only accepted one, but extend my heartfelt thanks to both porch members!View attachment 1684633View attachment 1684635So here’s what lettuce looks like at 21degrees. But never fear...it will perk up.
View attachment 1684634I think I’ll yank all those beets and carrots out of the ground and get out the canner. Been putting it off.
John, have you considered getting some custom coil springs for your lambsfoot, similar to what's on that vehicle? I'll bet the walk and talk would be legendary!!
Mike, I hope you at least broke even and came home with both knives after all your ramblin' and gamblin'!...
Decided to carry a couple of black favorites for Friday. Starting with a Buck 302 in black valox to go to town and shoot pool with the guys...

...and then a Case 2318pu to go play poker in a barn, in the river bottom, with a different group of guys. Life is rough
