What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

You might be right, no idea :)
But I live far away in Switzerland, these are from a vacation in the California Redwoods. And small cones you say? These would be signs of the coming apocalypse or something over here  :D

Yes, those are pretty small compared to some. If the mods would allow a non-knife picture in this thread, I could show you some cones from California that are 18" (45 cm) long. Instead, I'll show what is in my pocket right now

Today was the Case Small Texas Jack in Amber Bone CV. Pretty much my choice every day. I should probably stop spamming up the forum with the same pics over and over. I'll go with the back side of it for a change:

Pfffttt Like we've never had a non-knife pic in this thread?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Let we wipe the tears of laughter away before saying, "be my guest."

Switched to the 99 for the evening. BBqed some steak for the family, heres a few pics. It was a new blade with zero patina prior to dinner tonight :D

Jeff.. I'm seriously considering the 99 lockback thanks to your photos (again) and my 71 Red Neck. It looks like a very handy and useful utility knife. The lock's extra protection for those heavy duty cutting tasks is a great addition to the Farm and Field series. I would love to see GEC come out with a locking version of the 71!

Enjoy your trip Duane

Taking my mate and his kids for a walk in the woods later. Carrying these today :)

Well if its as 'soupy' as it is here Jack, those woods will be a great place to walk. Have a good one.

I've got the Taramundi with me again today....

Seems to me I thought that Taramundi was way smaller than it looks in that shot. Looks like about 3.5" handle with 3" blade?

The pic was a bit squiffy but yup, you are bang on amigo.

For today, and tomorrow possibly, this Kent stockman with red and white celluloid handles, silly sharp, heck this might stay in my pocket all week :D

Thanks mate, not too bad where I am at present, just dull and overcast, but should be nice anyway :)

The Boker has been busy this week opening island beers:D

Looks like you've chosen the right "island blue" swayback to keep you company, as well. :)

Thanks! I think most Small Texas Jacks (amber) I've seen have pile sides that are darker than the mark side. I wonder if there's something in Case's set-up that consistently creates that effect (and will continue to), or it's just a fluke? Beautiful knife, no matter how you look at it.

I do like this picture-- it shows of the knife's lines well. Thanks!

Simple Man, cool close-ups of the UN-X-LD shield and the bolster etch:
Were you surprised at how scritched up they looked, magnified?

Me, I'm staying with my Sawyer Barlow, in honor of current Barlow Birthdays over in Titusville. :-)
