Thank you my friend. That's a nice WW2 US Navy Utility ! I've got one just like it![]()
Love the knife — and, the Hamilton!Thank you my friend. It is a great old knife, nearly full blades, both have that ka-chink on the half stops, and strong snap all the way around. The pile side bone is nearly identical to the mark side, and it takes a keen edge very easily. A testament to how long a well made and properly cared for knife can last and be as good as new, in some ways better.![]()
Give you another look at it.

Thank you, Jack.Stellar pics John
I've been hit by giant Goose Mud a few times while playing fetch outside with my dog.I got hit with some “bird mud” just yesterday … just sitting there under a tree, minding my own business
'knifestagram' friends.
Lol...“knife-book”
Very appropriate carries for a holiday weekend.
That right there is worth all the effort.
Beautiful picture, beautiful knives, beautiful place.
I know that fishless lake! Had a different name though!I thought worms were #6 "Red Wiggly" flies?
Not everyone can catch fish using worms. As I head to the fishing spots the fish head to the neighboring counties ... or states ...
Fished Lake Stockton in Missouri a few times. Supposed to be one of the best fishing lakes in the state. S'far as I could tell, there ain't a fish in that lake, no matter if using live or dead worm, minnies, crawdads, or lures, jigs, stink bait ...
It was a beautiful day to be out, and we headed home to a cold beer and a chicken dinner. We had a great day! That right there is worth all the effort.
Sorry you didn't catch anything but it looks like you probably had fun anyways.
Sometimes catching fish gets in the way of a good time!Someone did leave me a nice place to sit along the stream.

Yeah, some of these old knives are the real deal, for sure. I am fortunate to own two of the three makers of the Navy Utility Jack, and decided to tote the Pal today.Thank you my friend. Purty.Day trip to Tahoe. Wasn’t as crowded as I thought! My wife’s family is in town and we wanted to show them our backyard. The drive up is still sad seeing the large burn scar from the Caldor Fire.![]()
Thanks for showing those great pictures, Rob.Thank you my friend.![]()
I am going to tote my Camillus again today, to salute the fallen on Memorial Day.
My late father served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and survived it. My late uncle was a pilot during WWII, as well.

Great stuff GaryWell, they weren't rising to dry flies. They didn't like any of the lures we threw at them. So it was a skunkaroo for us. We did come across a young couple with their 3 year old. He caught 3 on worms. His first fish. I was happy for him, but we all know anyone can catch fish on worms!
To my dismay, no lips were ripped today! Hey that rhymes!
Someone did leave me a nice place to sit along the stream.
