It is supposed to be at half staff until noon, and then “raised smartly” to full staff. But this pole doesn’t allow for that.View attachment 1831844
If you, my friends will induldge me, I will again show a couple of photos of my late son, Jason. Unlike some of his best friends, he made it home after his tour. Sadly, the TBI ~ traumatic brain injury that came from a close-call explosion took his life in 2017.View attachment 1831846This is my favorite picture. A happy moment with the beautiful kids of Argendab. The only thing he specifically requested in our care packages was pens and note pads for these kids. Of course, Mom’s cookies, but they had to have been pretty stale by the time they got there.View attachment 1831845My knives today~ two WWII vets. Camillus and Pal~View attachment 1831850
Thank you for sharing! I will be thinking about him today.

Here's the tang stamp on it...
All I could find for R640045 is that it's a red bone centennial camp/scout knife 🤔
I guess it will just be another little pocket knife mystery unless somebody knowledgeable chimes in.

Chincoteague! That’s in my neck of the woods (Hampton Roads, Va Beach, Chesapeake)!
Nice area - cool to see you representin!
I live in Baltimore but grew up visiting Chincoteague for our family vacations (I just was using the beer cozy today). A beautiful area indeed and it hasn’t been… over run like some other places. My wife and I have continued the tradition with our little ones 👍

Still East Cost / Bay Area though!

Thank you most kindly, Jack!!! :)

Super Memorial Day Monday pair of D-Day era Sheffield tough guys; Is that a US Navy blade stamp on a Lambsfoot, very cool and historic slicer!!! :D :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you very much my friend :) Yes, it is, cold-stamped on the pile-side of the blade :) The knife was found by gunstockjack gunstockjack in the USA, and Duncan Campbellclanman Campbellclanman very generously acquired it for me :) I'm guessing some Old Salt picked it up while he was over here. The knife is built like a battleship! :D
I've been toting these two sporting Micarta today. :)

That's a working pair of knives if I've ever seen it. 🤠

I've got to agree with our friend John, JJ! :D

I forgot it was my day for a random knife choice today  Double Lambsfoot Tuesday today! 🥳😀
