What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very nice, Steve.
I prefer my greens cooked. Never had beet tops. Not a fan of beets so that stands to reason. Guess I will find some and try them

I got my wife to start liking beets by shredding them raw in salad. We eat the tops and roots raw or cooked, but never boiled.
Thank you buddy. I like your knives also. Especially the Schrades!

Thank you!

Thanks Jeff. I thought yours was the Schrade version. 🤔 🤔 ☺️ Maybe you ought to show me again sometime. ;)
I don't luck into those near mint old knives very often. Don't really want to, since I would likely get bored for lack of anything to do to them. 🤣

Your comment about the wagon wheel reminding you of Ed's dining spot proves that the porch is now in your blood !

Just wait till you start seeing critter faces in your knife handles .................... and watermelon ................... and furniture ................. and wood floors.

Truth be told, Rob, what in the heck would I do with a pristine antique? So mine are solidly in the user camp.

I have that knife in both Schrade and Primble Belknap Hardware because I truly love all things Schrade Serpentine Jack.
And the long, graceful main and the pen secondary is a useful combo. One thing I’ve noticed is that on many old two blade knives, it is the pen that shows the most wear. So somebody thought that little blade was useful.
I’d be scared to have a mint antique like yours.

I will tote them and post pics...

Faces in clouds, yes.
Faces in watermelon? Not yet, but one can hope!

I looked it up on their website just now, and they won't deliver here. This was the 20th largest metro region in the country last time I looked, so it's not like I'm in an inaccessible and remote location. 🤷‍♂️

On my Android, if I turn the phone sideways it shows signature lines - I don't know if that will work for an iPhone though.

I try turning it sideways, but it’s no use. It automatically turns the picture right side up.🤪
Maybe I should look at my BF acct settings...

It was great. What’s not to love about grilled chicken and fries in a whole baguette for $4?

It was a first for me, and it was great. I’ve never heard of that bread. Sounds good, even with fries 😁

Your dog looks like he’s got a ton of personality. Love the knife, too 👍

It looks great. I’m surprised how long those lingered on shelves when they came out.

Great looking dog, Paul.

Thanks, Gary. We made it back home last night. It was a fun trip and a wonderful way to celebrate.
Thank you Bart, we've had dogs for going on 40yrs and Hank has to be one of the most unique we've been blessed with :)

Great pair, Todd. That copper patina is coming along nicely.
Good Morning Porch Friends
Getting ready for a trip and leaving tomorrow.
Only taking my Usual Lamb, put a fresh edge on it and a drop of oil in the joint.

Home carry, and a new baseball card that is so St. Louis
I love the baseball card/knife pictures, Jon. My son is really into baseball cards and it is a lot of fun. 👍
Wow, you struggle to get a coffee for that here!
That was by far the cheapest lunch we found in Tahiti and Moorea. It took us a couple of tries to get a sandwich there because they sold out of bread so quickly.
Great pic :)
Thanks, Jack. I hope you’re staying cool. Sounds like some brutal weather you are getting.
Glad you had a great trip and safe travels Bart. 😊👍
Oh No! Back to the grind... beautiful knife to start with though. 🤠
Thanks, guys. It was tough to leave there but good to be back in my regular routine…I guess. 😁
Well, I was asleep at the wheel when @glennbad announced his giveaway winners. He had to send me a wake-up call pm.
It came in the mail yesterday, and it will be riding in my little jeans pocket, after I made sure there’s no hole in that pocket!

Schrade Walden 766 re-hafted in really nice stag, finished as one would expect from the master modder. Thank you very much buddy!!!

Wow! :) I remember going to Norway about 15 years ago, and you couldn't get a takeaway sandwich for under $10!
Thanks, Jack. I hope you’re staying cool. Sounds like some brutal weather you are getting.
Thanks buddy :) Trying! :D Hopefully, the worst of it is over now :) 96 at midnight was just plain weird! :D
