LOL! 🤣 You'll have to call it a Radler 😉 Great film, my mate has a K9. We lost our mate with the Vincent (and a Velocette) to Covid unfortunately, but he was in his 80's. He still went on a long run once a week 👍

Uh-Oh. About 9:00 PM last night the call "Vehicle versus Black Cow" came over the scanner. It's almost impossible to see a black cow on the road much less a black cow and a small cross-over SUV had hit a Black Angus Cow at a high rate of speed. The highway was closed, the car was totaled, and the two people in the car were flown out to Redding, CA to Mercy Hospital with major injuries. The cow, also suffering with major injuries, was put down (shot) by a Sheriff's Deputy. That's when the fun began as there was a disagreement as to who would remove the dead cow - the County highway department, the State highway department, or the rancher that owned the cow. Since we have "Free Range" here meaning a cow can go where it wants unless your fence it out, the rancher was not responsible for the "Vehicle versus Black Cow" accident or removal of the dead cow from the scene. Since it was a state highway, it turns out that the State highway department had to remove the dead cow and they took it to the dump to dump it. We're going to town later today and will do a drive by at the tow yard where the car is. Word is that the entire front end of the SUV is folded. In case we have to ward off a cow while on the road today, I'll be totin my Tribal Lock Lumberjack.

Interesting tale Ed. I'd have thought someone would have arranged an impromptu barbecue 😵‍💫 Hope the SUV drivers make a full recovery 👍

Gorgeous knife Ed !!! ... terrible accident that I have a similar experience with
1958 my dad was office manager of the local Selma Stockyards and we were on the way to the company Christmas party in a 1956 two door Oldsmobile 88. Which is a huge solid chunk of good ol American automotive steel.
Hit a cow on that cold dark winter's night. Of course no one was wearing seat belts ... those would come about in the 60's.
Didn't kill the cow but it couldn't get to its feet because of severe injury, and a law enforcement officer had to finish putting it down. There were several farms in the area and of course no one claimed the cow.
Luckily none of the five (5) of us (parents and three young kids) in the car were seriously injured although the beautiful chuck of good ol American automotive steel was totaled.
Worst was my brother when the front seat backs flew forward and then returned and his arm was caught between them ... but it didn't break his arm. We were all lucky that cold dark winter's night on a country road.
Aunt and uncle came and picked us up and took us on to the Christmas party ... except my dad who stayed to take care of things after the accident.
Prayers for the folks that hit that cow
