What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That looks nice, Tyson. I’m not sure how I didn’t even realize Case was currently making a pruner.
I'm not sure if they still are - I'd been interested in one of these for a while, but put it off for other things. I finally went for it because I saw that it was out of stock in a few places I keep an eye on. Looking around further, it's out of stock in a lot of places, so when I found one (with a "low stock" warning) I decided that it was time. I suspect they may have just stopped making these. Hopefully not for long, though.

Pain management is always a bear, fortunately you've got your lovely lambsfoot to help take the edge off... 😟 ;)👍👍
Yeah, not a lot of fun I'm afraid ☹️👍
Toting an old Barlow and Scout today. :)
A wonderful pair JJ 😎🙂👍
Thanks Jack!
It’s a shame what’s become of ebay.
Yes indeed ☹️👍
Spent an hour or two this morning helping cucumbers achieve their highest purpose in life ~ as dill pickles!View attachment 1899093
The flies have been insane the last few days, but mysteriously were totally absent for a while, so I was able to chop stuff up outside.
First sweet corn, and whether Mrs Fleschwund likes it or not, it looks like sweet corn every day now.🥴
The squash, onions, garlic, and tomatoes, along with fresh basil, oregano, and four kind of cheese is gonna get layered and baked.
Chicken thighs on the grill for a side dish.View attachment 1899094View attachment 1899096
Great pics Jeff 😎 I was hoping for a bumper crop of blackberries, but as I've not been able to get out and pick them for more than a week now, I'll have missed a lot, particularly with the high temperatures we've had ☹️👍
I caught the last few rays of daylight.

Stunning 😎👍

Those Schrade looks great.

Sounds like a great supper my friend
Thank you!
That sounds like quite an ordeal, Ed. I hope everyone is okay. Cow vs car is never good. Where I run my cows is much more urban and not open range, so we have to fence in the cattle. We still end up with things on the road occasionally and have to respond quickly because it’s always a worry that someone might hit them.

I’m loving all of the garden updates, Jeff.
Kind of you to say...

If it’s any consolation, my blackberries were kind of a letdown. Sparse, and for a short time.
I blame weird weather earlier this year.

Sorry to hear that Jeff, it's been a good year for them here. I picked a couple of pounds a couple of weeks ago, before the sciatica set in, but it probably wasn't good for my back. I usually get about 30 pounds off a fairly small patch. I've told my neighbours to take some before the birds and sun get them. Maybe I'll get a few at the tail-end 👍

Good Morning Porch Friends
I've been AWOL for the past few days, devoting almost every waking hour to working and watching the Drum Corps International finals on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I'm back now but there's absolutely no way for me to catch up again, so I'm just starting fresh, right here, right now. Good to be back.

THIRTY POUNDS! That’s amazing. How do you save them ~ freeding, put up as preserves? That could be a year’s supply.
I was bragging over putting two gallon bags of wild black raspberries in the freezer last month.🥴

My father recently told me he’d read an article by some MD saying that blackberries are one of the top foods for health and longevity due to some of the compounds they contain.

Seashore, boat dock on a lake...
Enjoy!

I love the Pony Jack. Just a simple basic jackknife. :)👍

I can't decide what blades I need today, so I'll carry a bunch:
