What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Old case yellow synthetic, had it since I was a kid. Dude at school had 1 in different handle material so I had to pick this one up. Probably bought it at our local hardware store.

I carried an Opinel 8 as my daily EDC for a year or so a while back. Every time I end up carrying this, I wonder why I even have any other pocket knives. Super slicey blade; ergonomic handle that, due to all the roundness, rides in a pocket really well; extremely lightweight; simple and reliable lock (mostly useful for keeping it closed in the pocket, and if you remember to use it open it works great, but you don't need it). At this point I would be sad to not have my other knives, but an Opinel 8 really is a great knife.
My Proper is unimpressed with all that, and insisted on coming along, "just in case". Glad to have you, Proper, glad to have you.

One if my all times favorites. Great backdrop brother. We had a first true front push thru Monday eve 🤙🏼
Thanks Greg, Fall has arrived! 😎👍
Another pair of knives from my "top ten Case knives" I'm carrying this week.
Another chestnut jigged bone CV Case, this time a sowbelly stockman (a surprise gift from the late Half/Stop):

A red bone 3" half-congress 6269, vintage 1940-1964 (thanks for the GAW, Bill):

Your chestnut collection is outstanding Gary. The sowbelly is a show stopper.
😎👍

Never tried them. I imagine they taste like chicken?? ;)🤓

Sorry I meant to answer this earlier…
I don’t know, really. Salamanders are much too cute to think about eating! Besides, it would take a whole bunch to amount to much meat.
But in my experience, the closest to tasting like chicken is rattlesnake. We call it the Other White Meat. Even if a bit stringy.
