What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today was the Stockman day as I made some miles in the woods.

I never realized, until these knife displays, how the fall leaves bring out the best in the knives' features.
Keep them coming.

I planted a Persimmon tree a few years ago. Now that it is producing, I do not know what to do with the fruit. Any ideas? — Geaux Tigers!! 🐯

Thank you for the advice @calm , @Sacto , and @Amir Fleschwund . I have read your suggestions. I did not realize that they are crisp like an apple. I have kept waiting for them to soften up. I will do some experiments and report back. I am thinking of Persimmon pie, if I can convince my wife to give it a try.
Persimmons come in many different varieties . Here, it's a popular imported fruit (won't get them growing up here in 64°N ) mostly from Spain and some from Israel which are called Sharon fruits. They are about the size of an Apple and arrive hard with waxy skin. after a week or two indoors with other Persimmons they ripen, you eat them when they start to rot (like Medlar or Quinces)they are INCREDIBLY sweet, juicy and sticky once ripe, very filling and taste much like fresh Dates, got 3 ripening in the bowl right now.

Wouldn't mind 3 of those knives either :D

Grand old knife you have there.
Thanks Rufus - I picked it up a few years ago when we still had Boot sales and haggled hard (not ….I am useless at haggling when I know I really want something 😳)to get it for $30 which I think as it turns out was an absolute bargain.

Thanks for the back story.

If I were a hammer ... I'd have a pocket knife
But you'd have to drill down into the picture to find it

It has to be able to hold up a black brindle and white bull dog ... standing on one paw
And provide shelter for a dirt burrow bunker basement. Fort Picnic Table
