Notable pair, José!

Your vintage Catts sure have beautiful bone covers!
I like that jack with a main spey blade.

Splendid stag pair, Steve, with the groovy lambsfoot and the buttery Case jack!

Lot of texture in the shadows, JJ!

Thanks, Jack.

Thanks, Steve.

Jack, when I was a lad, we had a drill (it may have had screwdriver "bits" too) that operated just by pushing it down - some kind of auto-ratchet mechanism I think. We might have called it a "Yankee drill". Do you ever see those at the tool stall?

That's a fancy Opinel!!

I've never seen a stag Buck 303 - very cool!!

Thanks, Bob. My "catching up" was a pretty random selection of posts that caught my eye as I was scrolling through at warp speed.

Thanks for the info, Paul. I'm guessing you're a Bison supporter.

Very cool old 47 stockman, Steve!

Thanks for some background on your superb SAK!

Congrats on your degree from Wayne State! I was worried you might open your new bottle of bourbon before you finished your paper you mentioned a while back, but you must have planned everything successfully. I saw a book you posted in the Books and Blades thread; are you a philosophy guy?

Thanks, Paul; it was kind of fun to put that together way back when.

I always forget about those humpback whittlers from Case, even though I have the humpback stockman version.

Impressive knives, Jack! Enjoy your time in the Canary Islands!

Thanks for the info about that fine H&R canoe! (The one I have is post-Bertram I think, although IIRC it was German-made.)

Here is a scan from Buck's 2007 catalog (provided by Buck Knives).

I went to Newbury and took something old with me.

I saw the biggest gathering of swans ever, thats about half of them in the photo.

The Empire cafe in a squalid part of town made me smile, glory days.

I also picked up all the wreaths and laid them out neatly, just after I took the photo the wind blew them all over the place, RIP lads job done.

Wonderful photos
What do the wreaths and monument symbolize?

Great stuff Brother  Glad to hear the Tortoise got removed to safety, are they common in your gardens? Mowers and trimmers can inflict wounds or usually worse on wildlife. Many Hedgehogs have perished that way in Europe. On the other hand, the shell could be a future resource for knife-handles.....🤣 As for those tools, just a wash down and a little steel wool but don't you go spoiling the collectible aspect of that fine 'patina'🙃😏😅 They still hold a great edge...

Had this out this 'morning' (dark all day) for an inspection, today is the longest night I think, 15.00 here and dark again already, blink you'll miss it. I don't miss it when the light returns.

Will I enjoy the presentation on the coat. I also find the blade combination a very practical union of steel.
So the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel has appeared?
