We are kind of on the border of north and south. Sometimes in the winter, it will be warmer in upper Michigan than it is here. We never made it out of the minus zero's today. High temp was -2 degrees. It did feel really cold with the gusty winds ! Not many times will the high temp be under zero though. I can feel the drafts in the house.

I love the new mug, they’re so nice. Does everything taste better in the mug or, or it it just mine?Was a noisy night and Elijah J. was all amped up over it, so I'm afraid I didn't get much rest. Between the howling winds, the popping of my cold house from the sub zero temps, and the snow plows driving by, I was glad to see daylight. I won't be venturing out to take any new photos in this brutal cold, but, did take one of my new Wind Cave Coffee mug ( seems appropriate now ) that Mr. Sacto enabled me on, which is currently filled with Swiss Miss hot chocolate.
I'll be totin' Peter Rabbit again today, which I am currently trying to work up the nerve to carve out it's new name. The picture is currently a concept picture of the bunny knife. I doubt I will really go through with it.

We love going by that house (if it's the house I think it is, on 48th). It's even more impressive and crazy if you walk up the driveway (there's a ton of stuff in the house, visible from the windows, and the whole backyard is done up, too). I've chatted with the guy several times over the last few years, and he spends weeks getting all of that ready to go. By the time it's all done, and he's just hanging out and chatting with visitors, making sure they walk around and see everything, he's usually about three eggnogs past the legal limit. I figure he's earned it. My wife and I get a selfie out front of there every year.Went out with the family tonight to look at the Christmas lights.
Yes, that’s the house. It’s so over the top, I love it. We’ve never stopped, we always just drive by, cutting across from the fab 40s to Elmhurst. We’ll have to stop next year and fully take it in. He sounds like a real character. I can’t imagine what his power bill must be.
