Beautiful knives as always Mr. Primble and yes , Grandsons and Granddaughters and even Great Grandsons and Great Granddaughters are put on this earth to spoil and then send home waaaaaaay too early . Enjoy them while you can and Merry Christmas to you and your family my friend .Woke up at 6:15 a.m. to what seems like a balmy 9 degrees. Forecast to make it up to 21 degrees today.I won't have so much to do until after lunch, when my cooking will commence. My son and his wife plus my all important grandson will be over late this afternoon. I got to thinking yesterday that what I was having for Christmas dinner might not be a favorite for my grandson, so I whipped up a casserole dish of baked spaghetti, just for him. Spaghetti is his number one favorite. I reckon I might be spoiling him a bit, but, that's what grandson's are for ........ right ?
In the meantime, I am enjoying a cup of hot chocolate this morning. I'll be totin' my Primble Barlow and the Lion of Lucerne for this festive day.
Merry Christmas to all !

Those are the Arizona Ironwood handles. What handle is that?
I can't tell if it's wood or horn??
Well they are purtyThose are the Arizona Ironwood handles.
My grandfather was on a destroyer escort in WWII, USS Strauss. The anchors look great on the cover!I got to reminiscing a couple weeks ago about my first ship in the U.S. Navy which was a Destroyer (DD) commonly called in the Navy a "Tin Can". I joined the Navy in June 1965, went to boot camp, and then the Navy sent me straight to the USS Henley DD-762 as a Seaman (E-3) and I rode her until July 1966 when I caught a set of orders to Kami Seya, Japan. Anyway, I ordered up a "Tin Can Navy" hat for myself for my Christmas present to myself this year and while I was at it, I ordered up a two-blade Lambfoot knife manufactured by A. Wright. The hat's great and the knife's great. I'll wear the hat and carry the knife to my sister-in-laws for Christmas dinner today. Sausage and eggs for breakfast.
