What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Sturzi, sorry to hear about the edge on that beauty, that would have made me sick.

Thanks also, Frank. Your story actually made my hand cringe a little. I could feel the pain somewhat as I read. Ouch. Glad your okay and thanks again.

Beautiful old knife Jason. Congrats!

This one today. I love this bone as it looks very similar to real ivory or mammoth ivory.

My spiffy new A.G. Russell sunfish in brown Rucarta. I'm really glad I got the leather pouch to go with this. Super heavy in the pocket, but very comfy to carry in the pouch. I'm still getting used to opening the blade, which produces a CLACK! that can be heard two blocks away. :D This is a solid and very nicely made knife.

Looks good now Kevin! The Opi's are so light to which doesn't help!

I've instinctively grabbed a falling knife too, ended up with a nasty cut on my thumb!:(

It's a dangerous thing, photographing a knife. Can be hazardous to knife and fingers, if the knife slips. Got a goodly gash once when I was photographing a knife. It slipped and out of instinct I grabbed it to keep it from falling. Wrong reflex. Glad you had better reflexes.

This happened, or almost happened, just last evening. My barlow started to tumble out of the lilac bush, spinning, and my first reflex was to grab at it. Fortunately, it happened in seemingly slow motion (due to the spinning) and I had time for brain reflex to kick in: "BAD IDEA!" Whew. Especially since the knife fell on grass anyway. I mean, even if not, but it's not like the knife was going to be damaged in the fall this time (though there's precedent for that as well

I'm carrying this Don Morrow Trapper today. A little fancier then usual. It makes a nice Sunday knife.

Today, it the new sodbuster (my first of this pattern). Honestly, I'm surprised how much I like it!
