That sounds like a great day in the outdoors, Jack!
Sheffield was certainly firing on all cylinders when it cranked out those Beefy War Dog Beauties! ;) Your cool Keen Kutter is an added treat from that same era; super cool, just a tad less beefy than its Sheffield cousins! 😁:thumbsup:

Manly Comrade. This surprised me in many ways. The edge responded to stropping great and the blade slices oh so well. I like the multiple stops in the action, last snap is strong and I really have to push it to close the knife. The resistance gets gradually stronger with each stop. I took off the clip and plan to make a pocket "holster" of nylon webbing that covers about 2/3 of the knife. This is a work knife that I plan to take with me on my summer holiday. Fit and finish is good, not perfect, there is a small gap between spring and one liner, but that does not matter to me. I don't have to baby this knife.

I'm already planning Independence Day and was looking through my cabinet for something patriotic. Not sure it counts if they're from England? 🤔 View attachment 2231280

Actually, the red and blue I dyed several years ago and still needed a touch of sanding and polish. Probably sacrilege, but I'm happy with how they turned out.
Sure it does! :D ;) Nice work :)

Thank you very much JJ, things were certainly very different in Sheffield before WWI. Yes, the KK, is slightly smaller, well observed :)

Grabbed a couple of Lambs in Stag clothing. :)
Happy Double Lambsfoot Day my friend :) Two fine examples of the pattern there :)

Wishing everyone a good week :) Starting mine with my Albers Lamb, and a knife gifted to me by JohnDF JohnDF , hoping that if I rub it a few times, he'll appear here :)

… as I have expressed before, I am really taken with this Eisenhower penknife (06263; ‘65-‘69).
So much so that I fished a second one out of the ‘Bay (an unplanned acquisition) … note the mis-strike that occurred when attempting to set the pin closest to the right bolster … that little flaw allowed me to pick up this NOS example for a song … unused, unsharpened, and snappy as a little gator … !

Dang!!! Thought I was through with doctors for a while but turns out I've got an appointment with my Podiatrist this morning - toenails cut, trimmed, and polished and an x-ray of the ankle joint where they removed a bone to make my new jaw bone when I had cancer in my jaw bone. Oh well, at least my feet will be all sparkly, shiny, and smooth when he's done with me. Oh top of that, I'm fasting for labs - blood and whatever else. I haven't even had coffee this morning let alone sausage and eggs. Not even my round of six daily morning pills. I'll be carrying my Remington mini-trapper (Baby Bullet Trapper). It's a nice one. The jigging is superb.
