What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I finally had the chance to listen to waynorth waynorth Charlie's Harness Jack contribution to the Catch Bit Show (Episode 23). It was a very enjoyable and information packed discussion. Jason, Neal, Mike and Charlie put on a great show.
I just had to put our 2016 #35 Double End Harness Jack "The Drover" in my pocket today! What a fabulous knife!

I'm way behind on them, Jack! I find the best way to insure no interruptions is blue tooth earbuds, noise blocking ear protection, and mowing the lawn. My wife still manages to interrupt though! :D Not that I mind!!! 😂 ;)

Case and new straight, which has jumped into first place as my favorite. What a joy to start the morning. The maker of the straight refers to it as a “knife,” which seems fitting. Apolgies for the poor bathroom lighting.

The knife is nice but the razor🤩.
From one straight user to another please provide details on it.
Thanks

Today was a good day. Turns out AEB-L at 62hrc will take a bit of patina, also a thin edge is dangertown with those fine carbides. Best of both worlds, if you ask me.

New Lamb and a Cowboy Toothpick
Both great carries, but I keep coming back to the cowboy toothpick. That's from Horsewright, right?
Thanks, FC. Great selection of knives again 👍
Heya Bart, nice to have you back, and thank you. Always love seeing the warm color of that bone on your C/B WT (see how hip I am, even though I can't skate?🤣).
Hi
Thank you. this is a small knife by Gregory Picard (slipjoint - micarta handle - handle length: 9.4 cm - total length: 17.2 cm - handle thickness: 12mm - weight: 77g - RWL34 steel - blade length: 7.7 cm - blade thickness: 3mm )
Beautifully finished and fitted, very good ergonomics like all Greg's knives, despite its small size the grip is perfect.
Hello! 👋 Thanks for the response, I always admire that knife when you post it, the blade shape is just so and the handle very smooth which is best for smaller knives methinks.

I’m very happy with my #72 sienna bone example but the more I flushed the joints the absolute worse the vertical and horizontal blade play got. It’s pretty bad, and I will be sending it in to GEC and hoping they’re able to fix it and send it back to me because I really, like my covers!! This is the first knife I went for this year from GEC 😁

Great knife...hope they resolve the issues.

I mentioned in this thread last Saturday that I'd be ignoring my usual weekly rotation schedule for this week so I can carry some of the knives I've acquired recently. I decided to carry all the knives that are new to me in 2023. But here it is Tuesday evening already and I haven't posted any of them yet (and I still need to take and process photos of some of the most recent ones). So I'll have to post more than my usual 2 per day.

Here are 3 of 11 knives I received as gifts this year.
The first one is a SAK clone that the widow across the street gave to me in March; it used to belong to her husband.

In May, I received a couple of German pocket knives from a couple of generous BF members: a Böker Beer Barrel canoe (thanks, Todd) and a Bruckmann pen knife with horn covers (thanks, Bob).

Both my wife and a guy at the gym said we had the worst air quality in the country today. I walked a 6-mile round trip to campus and back, and the sky was certainly hazy, but it didn't bother me (maybe because there was a nice breeze?). But sitting in the house at supper time, I definitely smelled smoke and breathing was mildly oppressive. Maybe the North American theme song for the summer of 2023 should be this old favorite:
