That makes sense, hand picked by the lamb ambassador! Thanks kindly Bart.....the lamb is from Jacks Yorkshire Day give away.
I hope your son has recovered from his injury.
Every one needs at least one TL-29. Nice way to start the weekend Todd. I’m looking forward to cool mornings here.Cool start to what’s going to be a warm day. I have my White Owl (a favorite) and a very cool TL-29 that @Amir Fleschwund sent me. What a nice surprise, thanks Jeff!View attachment 2331375
Looks like you have your work cut out for you Tyson. Good to see you back.Five yards of dirt in the driveway. Half is going on the yard, then a double layer of builders paper, then the rest of the dirt.

One of these will be in my pocket, one on my belt.

My love/hate affair with the Sodbuster Jr. continues. Most of the centering problems and backspring gaps have been reduced (but not eliminated) with a ton of cleaning and a bit of judicious crinking, twisting, squeezing, etc. The terrible edge was cleaned up a bit, and will get better with each resharpening. The shield, which fell out only a few weeks into owning it, has been epoxied back into place. Etc. Etc.
The build quality of this knife is just nowhere close to any of my other new (2021 or later) Cases - the other ones have all been excellent. Unfortunately, this dumb Sodbuster is just about perfect in terms of design (and looks, if you don't look too close at all the screwed up details). So I've probably carried more than anything else since I got it. Like I said, it's a love/hate thing. One of these, but made as well as any of my other Cases, would be darn near the Ultimate Pocket Knife.
That’s a beauty — congrats! The 78 is such a great pattern.![]()
Shows why I prefer brass to nickel silver…. Awesome patina!Swayback and buck 112!View attachment 2331619
I’m bringing all of them. Hopefully I can get some good pictures during the patrol.Have you decided on which knives to take on your Antartica cruise, Jon?
Awesome analogy. I fell in love with it the moment I picked it up on a drop. One of my better knives for sure. It got me into carvingI hope that knife turns out as well for you as the Smith-for-Templeton trade did for the Cardinals!![]()
Outstanding cast metal knife, José!
It reminds me, several days late, that I missed Metal Monday this week.I think I should have posted this Victorinox Secretary, but I'll try again in a couple of days.
That the one CASE Swayback Gent I've been after for ages....no luck. Looks superb in Bonestag tooSwayback and buck 112!View attachment 2331619
Why thank you Bart! The Micarta *was* my favorite, until I failed to set it flush (these are blind bowties, harder to do than all the way through) and had to sand the gorgeous bark off. I suppose it will return with a few years UV exposure? I must say, once the overwhelming toxicity is overlooked, the micarta was a dream to work with. I'll have to use it again, but next time the bandsaw is going outside for the cuts. They came out awesome FC. I still like the Micarta one.![]()
Gary, I think you've finally cracked this nut for me! All I have to do is arrange any road trips so I can be near a knife outlet, and after about 3 hours in the car I'm betting I can get a "yes" as wellmy wife agreed to let me stop there after 3.5 hrs on the road
Thanks Bart. Shouldn’t be long.Every one needs at least one TL-29. Nice way to start the weekend Todd. I’m looking forward to cool mornings here.
