What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The covers on that Case are like a raging inferno, Bob! 😲:thumbsup: Wood or acrylic?

An unbiased scorekeeper would have been a luxury back in the days I'd play a little golf.:thumbsup:🤓

The covers did come out rather well. They are wood products of Glennbad.👌

I don't care what the score is, as long as I win.😁

Indeed, all went well. Thanks Bart.

I hope your son's recovery is going well.
Glad to hear it went well. Thanks Bob. My son says his arm pretty much feels back to normal. He’s been playing baseball and should be cleared to skate with reckless abandon after his doctor’s appointment next week.
Well done :)
Looks great Bart, well done. 😎👍
Nice work, Bart... Your stitches are nice and tight. 🤠
Great leatherwork Bart! No doubt you will enjoy that sheath.
Thanks guys. I’m pleased with how it turned out. I still need to improve my skills on some of the finer details like finishing the stitching and making the stamping more crisp.
Welcome back to The Porch, Bart, with that top of the heap (or at least top of the fence post) Swayback Jack!

Thanks Gary. It’s nice to have a little more free time to spend here.

Well as a few of you Will know I have been trying to complete the full set of Blade forums knives . It all started with the first one I got from Brian Smith , the stag Barlow by Queen cutlery , that sparked an interest , and for the last five years I have been hunting down the rest of them . Thanks to the help of some good people and my bank balance being battered lol 😂
I have finally taken delivery today of the last 3 knives that complete the set . I think there is a couple of specials that were not actually the annual knife , that I don’t have . But was lucky enough to find an Eric’s knife. So here is the full set in all its glory 👌
God knows what I’m going to do now I have them all 🤷‍♂️😂View attachment 2365585
I would use them, but that’s why they won’t let me be a Collector. 😂
My "coat pocket" puukko. I made it of a Wood Jewel "Lappipuukko". I shortened the handle and thinned it slightly from the sides. The back bolster or plate is from a bronze medal I got in a archery competition 2003, tang is peened over it. The sheath is thick vegetable tanned leather, pocket carry only. Flaws, but handmade.

I like it.

Beautiful old short liner😎
Nice day outside for doing some light additional Fall work after coffee and then lunch with some friends . Then I applied some poly urethane to the walking stick project . One more coat and it will be done .

Nice work preserving that poison ivy vine, Harry! 😁

Mind if I ask how long you made it?

About to start tearing down our old dining table for some repairs and refinishing. Toting around my trusty GEC 71 in green canvas today.
In the modern age of throw away imported veneer on particle board furniture, it’s nice to see someone taking time to keep up the good solid wood furniture.
Friday-Sunday, for some camping and music with friends. SAK got a real workout.

A weekend of camping, making fires using your belt knife to whittle kindling, pots of cowboy coffee balanced on logs, smoke following you around the fire and burning your eyes, and playing your Martin by the fire? THAT is living the life, Frederick😎

Once again another foggy start to the day in the City by the Bay! Tough loss last night but my my favorite manager the Botch won, why the Giants let him go is beyond my comprehension 🤯. Anxiously waiting for Postie Mike to deliver #47. Until then keeping me company the usual lamb and with a nod to Trapper Tuesday my Case CL. 😀

Haven’t posted in a bit, but I had to hit the pause button on everything else …
#399 has arrived!

Very pleased with this one!
Beautiful design choices, and beautifully executed!
The main is a pinchable 5 and the secondary is 6.5 … ish ;)
Nice covers that will just get nicer, flush where she should be - this one’s a hit!
Very grateful to Spark Spark and the team for making it possible.
👍🏼😎👍🏼

More huge knives. I will never get over this Harness Jack, it's just barely behind my #1 Eureka Jack on my favorite GEC list.

I like your romanticization of my weekend Jeff. Truth be told, fire was lit when we arrived, I never let it go cold. There was *no* wind down in the Holler (as we call it, truthfully), nobody had to move on account of smoke once that I recall. It will never happen again! I don't even play, but they had a heckuva band going and we ate 5 times a day 😆 "Sally and the Hurts" was the core of the band, but lots of others showed up and jammed. I heard the most heartbreaking rendition of Angel from Montgomery ever.

Mrs Fleschwund is off work today, and has declared it to be WINDOW WASHING DAY.
So she's off work and that means you aren't? Sounds too much like home... Your pruner and greens look mighty fine today! Hope you're catching some of this rain.

Good evening porchsters,

Oh Yay, Oh Yay, Oh Yay

I bring glad tidings, yesterday, unbelievably, two knives which had been missing in action for years turned up within hours of each other. The lovely senator, one of my favourite patterns. I had one lost it 😢and missed it so much I bought another and then lost that.😭 it turned up jammed in the sliding track of the car seat, I only found it because the seat would not slide back whilst looking for my wallet.

Second but by no means any less important, my lovely Buck 110, I have not seen this for over 15 years, I opened the box took it out of the case had a quick look put it all back together in the box and never saw it again. Looking for a toner cartridge for the printer in the loft it was jammed in an old bookcase. the patina on the brass is like nothing I have ever seen before, it looks like copper.
