What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

First day not pocketing the sweet Ben Hogan I picked up last week from Himark800 Himark800 . Vic Waiter 84mm. Micro screwdriver in the corkscrew and toothpick replaced with a Tortoise Gear Firefly ferro rod. Works great in the wire stripper notch.

I usually carry this in addition to either a Protech Godson or Benchmade Bugout. Last use was some whittling to clean up after a crooked hand cut miter. I like SAKs because my grandfather used to tell me stories about his family coming over from Switzerland and he gave me my first knife, a Wenger.

Well, I shouldn’t criticize the Hoosier State too much, since I’m stuck in Illannoys…

Everybody’s trying to go electronic. A few weeks ago, I popped in to the Driver’s facilicty to renew my license, only to discover that they no longer allow you to just walk in and wait in line. You need an appointment. So I asked the girl if she would please make an appointment for me.
“No, you’re supposed to scan the “QR” code on the sign, create an account with a user name and password, log in, and make an appointment online”.
“Well, I don’t do QR codes.”

“Okay! I see we can fit you in in fifteen minutes.”

“Great! Thank You” 🤪
Oh my gosh, you can't make this stuff up ImaPoser.gif

Gonna get some good wood for the smoker?
I like using maple.
Ya know...I don't own a smoker 😬
I did ask at the last poker game if anybody wanted some maple -one does smoke stuff and a couple of others have wood stoves - and nobody wanted it, so I had them take it away. I also had them take down a cedar that I had been gnawing on, and as I watched it go into the grinder, thought, "there goes a couple of good posts" 🙃

Work Knife of the Week is my first-ever pocketknife, a Colonial Forest-Master from 1960:

Here's a knife I got in 2023 that's not on my rotation schedule yet, but when I update the schedule this Rough Rider Coal Miner Half Hawk will be listed in the Work Knife category (thanks, ED):

Locking Knife of the Week is a RR Electrician:

And here are some knives that came to me in 2023 that will go in the Locking Knife category when I update my rotation schedule.
Chinese Schrade 5OT that will also probably show up in the Colonial/Imperial/Schrade category:

Marbles Safety Folder that my wife gave me for Father's Day:
