Burr Oak knife posing stand on the edge of a Big Bluestem meadow…
Kishwaukee River, Shirley Bridge canoe launch. Woulda been a good morning to hunt up some Smallmouth Bass. There was a lady putting in a kayak, so I mentioned that. But saw no fishing rods.

Thanks Jon, it really feels good in the hand...form and function. Two days in a row with the Barlow! This is a great pairing.
The dog chew isle, love it.i have bought the deer horns when I had 2 dog's a doberman/wolf(kid you not,the wolf came into the reserve in Northern manitoba and killed some males, then mated with a Dobie and a husky.the Dobie pups all looked like Akita which the vet noted them as.except it had the scent ring on its tail) and a cane corso.only dog I've seen break a marrow bone from a cow in half and grind the deer horn to nothing.even sisi the half wolf couldn't do that. The Half Stop Schrade 804 Whittler, and a Camco Camper that I re-handled with Water Buffalo Horn. They sell 5 or 6 inch pieces of it in the dog chew aisle. I cut the scales from one of those. It smells pretty foul when it’s cut and sanded, but it polishes out like glass. And there are some nice, but subtle highlights in it.View attachment 2424485Burr Oak knife posing stand on the edge of a Big Bluestem meadow…View attachment 2424431View attachment 2424432Kishwaukee River, Shirley Bridge canoe launch.
